Question about the upcoming Little Mermaid.- Page 3

Can ANYONE point me in the right direction ... I have hopes of garnering the tracks from the sampler. Of course, I've searched high-and-low (to no success), and thusly, I have decided to come to my friends on here!

I don't know if this has been posted yet, but when you first go on The Little Mermaid musical's official disney website, it has clips from Part of Your World and Under the Sea

I think the plexiglass sounds pretty cool. I'm unsure about the rollerskates.

I think the show has such great potential. It's the cleanest (from a structure standpoint) of any of the disney musicals. The plexiglass approach sounds like it could be fabulous.

It seems that the score still is incomplete. Does anyone know what the additional 2 new numbers that are not on the demo are/where they fit into the story?

My thoughts on the new score (which is hard to know wihtout orchestration)
That Human Stuff Song is kind of annoying
Wasting Away is tolerable, but isn't there maybe something better to put into it's place?
That World Above is decent, if there's time, I'd see if Alan & Glenn (Glenn is really talented by the way. Perhaps the new Ashman of this generation) could write up a new number.
Sweet Child is sooo eerie and soo perfect. Fabulous job of capturing that moment with song.
Her Voice will undoubtedly become "the" song for Tenors regardless of how successful this show is. It's the most haunting and beautiful melody I have heard in a very long time. It's so amazing!
Posituvity will be such a cute and fun way to begin the second act.
Beyond My Wildest Dreams will have to be orchestrated/sung in a way that makes it sound a little "less" like Little Shop of Horros. I mean Part of Your World already is Somewhere That's Green, Poor Unfortunate Souls is Mushnick & Son, we can't have a 3rd one! It's a fun tune though and provides so much character for Ariel.
If Only is a nice duet.
Poor Unfortuante Souls (reprise) is soo amazing!
All good Things Must End is great, and sure to become a Diva favorite, but to agree with someone else, a slightly darker approach might be in order.
The Finale needs more of a "finale" more similar to the Film's Finale IMO.

I really like the set-up though. They've inserted songs in the most perfect places. There is no time that I found myself thinking "Why did they put a song here" (Which I do frequently in Lion King & a little in BATB.)

It's quite fun what they've crafted, and I'm very optimistic for this production.
Quit worrying about Mermaid, stress about Phantom of the Opera II instead.

Interesting insights and opinions. I'm hopeful but I'm not getting my hopes up. The only thing Disney has done that I think 'worked' was THE LION KING>
