Questions about Hair Be-In

If you're sitting in the orchestra, you just wait for the cast members to begin waving people down the aisles and onto the stage (this happens once they take their bows and they place railings on the stairs leading up to the stage). If you're in the mezz, there are stairs by the boxes that you can take down to the orchestra level.

Thank you. I was seriously asking this. I thought the stage wouldn't be big enough for everyone that wanted to go up. I saw Hair a million years ago - forgot about the ending, IF they did it back then.

Questions about Hair Be-In

No where near everyone goes on stage. The few times I went, no matter how packed the stage seemed, I was always shocked how many people were still in the house!

But yes...it's fairly easy and I've never heard of ANYONE being turned away.
If we're not having fun, then why are we doing it? These are DISCUSSION boards, not mutual admiration boards. Discussion only occurs when we are willing to hear what others are thinking, regardless of whether it is alignment to our own thoughts.

When I went, we saw the ushers pull out these steps and we bolted towards the stage

They don't pull the steps out. The steps are there already. They stay there to make sure no one gets hurt. The security also stand by the wings and by the orchestra so no one goes there.

All that happens is a couple of the tribe members bring on handle bars that go into the steps.

We were able to go down to get onstage from the be-in boxes from the lottery.
