Hair campaign to stay open

I love the show. I saw it 7 times, I admit it. That's because I got to know several members of the cast and adore them, so the show became a party for me. BUT - most of the cast members are okay with the closing. They accept it as part of an actor's life that shows close and they are looking forward. The effort to keep it open is sweet, but it's too late. The decision has been made and there are 13 shows left. The scene with the "80+" characters is embarrassing. They actually think they're part
excuse my ignorance - question about housing, etc.

Thanks for all the answers. I do know that Grease had a super apartment for Ace and Taylor, so that's why I was wondering. Diana recently tweeted that her new apartment was DeGarmacized or something like that, and Ace lives in LA, so I wasn't sure what kind of arrangements Hair makes with their casts. The intriguing world of Broadway!

some of you will think this is dumb, but for the kindhearted out there, please answer my for-real question. Do most productions include an apartment as part of the package for the 'stars' the bring in to their shows? When the Hair cast goes to London, does that mean the show is paying for their housing/relocations?? When Ace and Diana came to NY, did Hair give them an apartment, or are they like the other hardworking actors and actresses that have to pay rent? I know when Ace and Taylor came in
HAIR (New Cast) Reviews

sorry, my bad about Groff. My point, which i totally screwed up, was that there are always complaints when there is change. But the producers seem so smitten with this new cast, i would like to defer to their expertise right now.

i was responding to beautywickedlover's post. not colorthehouse. Color was there - i respect the assessment.

did you see it tonight, or are you just jumping to conclusions? have you ever seen Ace act? did you see him as Kenickie? he owned it. surprise, but he did. give him a chance. i'm sure that there were Groff fans that didn't like will at first, too. and on and on and on...
Questions about Hair Be-In

Thank you. I was seriously asking this. I thought the stage wouldn't be big enough for everyone that wanted to go up. I saw Hair a million years ago - forgot about the ending, IF they did it back then.

When replacement cast members are in rehearsals, they are required to sit at the show for several weeks and performances. That's why you're seeing Ace, Diana and the new Tribe members at the shows. Kind of a nice treat, too!
