Annaleigh Ashford is a miscast in the role of Maureen IMO. I can't picture her in this role at all, but maybe she'll prove me wrong.

Wasn't Marcus Paul James in Rent on Broadway? For years? He's got a good 10-15 years on the rest of the cast...

I believe he played Angel in the NJPAC production, you may be able to find something on their website.

I have the same issue with Annaleigh. I've only seen her do bubbly roles, so I hope she pulls this off well. I wish her the best!

Annaleigh is going to be amaaaahhhzing!! So happy that she gets to break out of the whole cute bubbly thing.

The rest of the cast isn't so exciting to me but still can't wait to see it!!

Bad is being nice. There used to be a few videos on youtube, but they were plagued with bad comments.

If you do a search on these board you can find reviews of arianda on the rent tour.

I wouldn't call that a legit review, it's just someone's opinion who saw the show.

Washington Post gave her a great review here
