I have a bunch from the stage door: The Bad Understudy of Mimi, Joanne, Maureen, Mark, Paul, Roger, Collins
were you in the Sunday Matinee ? I was and I got autograph of Marcus , Ava and Andy. I brought the camera but I was too shy to ask them .
Yeah I was. I was the first one at the Stage Door with two girls, and i stayed right next to the stage door the whole time. I got pix and was wearing a tan jacket.(if you can remember me from a description that vauge)
There was a girl there that lost her glove and went to Mcdonalds, and when she left Andy came back and said "Did anyone loose a glove?...Oh well it is mine now." It was funny because I went to eat after that and I saw the girl and She was like, "I feel uneven." I looked at her hands and told her that Andy had them. She just started laughing. It was great.
I'm going to be seeing them in hershey on february 19th. Can't wait. Love rent. I also can't wait for the movie!! :)
Okay, just how GOOD is this cast compared to recent casts on Broadway? Is it worth travelling two hours to catch this leg of the tour?
From what i have heard, the cast on Broadway now isn't good. The energy in this show is amazing and the cast is awesome. They have phenomonal voices and i would reccommend seeint them. There is a girl who came from cali. to baltimore just to see it, and she is going again to see it in dc!
2day~ if you can see them DO!! I haven't finished my review yet, but should have it up soon.. I wont tell you how many times I have seen this cast, just know that they are AMAZING!
Hey, they're coming to my college at the end of January, I'm excited...is it really that good?
Yeah!...It is amazing!
thank you sooo much!!!!!
I saw the tour in Tacoma late last summer, and it was amazing. I've seen Rent 3 times and it was the best cast (even with the limitations of a small stage). I can't imagine it being much better on B'way.

sweet! I live really close to DC and the tour is coming in March I think...
I wasn't sure if I wanted to see this tour since I saw it two years ago but that definitely sounds worth it!

It was in Florida before Christmas. No other Florida dates are currently listed.
It'll be in dc March 15th, 16th, 17th, 18th, 19th,and 20th.
2day4u- I saw both the current touring cast and the current Broadway cast. I drove 1.5 hours to see the touring cast, and it was SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO WORTH IT! One of the best theatre experiences of my life (not only was the show great, but it was an audience made up almost entirely of rentheads so the audience had this energy and enthusiasm that was just awesome). I loved it on Broadway, but the tour definately has a much much much much better energy. I mean, the energy is just AMAZING. A better sense of community as well. Well worth the drive.
well put...i mean hell, i know a girl who flew across the country to see it and is going to do it again...let there be no doubt in your mind it is def. worth it!
Wow - I am sooo excited now to hear all this great stuff about the touring cast!!!
I have been planning on going to see it when it comes to Detroit for a while now, but ya just never know what your gonna get these days with Rent, and I will be bringing a few people who are not familar with the show, so to know that the cast is amazing makes me even more excited!! Now I can't wait for Jan. 22nd to get here!!!!
I really hope there are good things in Andy Meeks future. I would like to see him again!(if he leaves after march)
Ah, Andy Meeks! Yes, best wishes for his career! He deserves it, after playing my favorite character so darn well... He's my favorite member of the touring cast. Although, I'd have to say I loved Mimi too. And Collins. :P
Collins has a great soul voice...lol if that makes sense. Mimi is amazing! but not her understudy, But Mark was perfect. Just what I expected and I would have hated it had it been anything less than what I expected
Being my first time seeing Rent, it exceeded my expectations. I mean, even the set! I walked into the theater and was like: WOA! COOL! And then, I was really worried about Mark. Because, he's my absolute favorite character and I didn't know if anyone could attempt to play him up to my standards... And he blew them away! And I didn't know I'd like Mimi so much, and I finally understood why Light the Candle is such a "big" number in the show (it didn't come off so well too me on the CD, I was like... "Well, its good I guess, but is it that good?" I LOVE it know, though.) And I Collins... I TOTALLY cried during his reprise.
I teared...lol bothe times I saw it. Marcus was amazing!
