has anyone ever been to andys fan club??

Hi guys, i am new to this site. I just saw the current RENT cast in St. Louis, Missouri on Saturday, January 8th. I was very impressed with the performance and was extremely touched by the cast for many reasons.

First of all, a friend of mine and I decided to rush for tickets, and after waiting 9 hours I can say that the show was totally worth it. While waiting, Andy Meeks and Dan both came out to talk to the crowd. Andy and I have the same camera, so we chit chated about that for a bit.

The show itself was full of energy. My group of friends (who had never heard of Rent before) all sat with me in the second row in the pit... we could see the actors sweat! Haha, we were so close that we caught the pick Roger threw off stage. Anyhow, what i wanted to mention was how gracious the cast was. Afterwards we waited at the stagedoor and all the members were happy to sign autographs and take pictures. A few of them even told me they recognized me during the show and saw that i was in the second row.... little things like that make the experience all the better.

I hope everyone gets to see this cast. I never saw the original cast, but from reading what you guys wrote here it seems this one was on par. One thing i wanted to know, is there a Andy Fan Club? He seemed like a great guy and i would like to write to him to tell him his performance was amazing. Hope you all get to see the show.

There is a fan club, but you cannot write him...I caught the cocaine(sp?) when mimi threw it off the stage in the second act. Andy is just such a nice guy! I am not on my comp, but when i get home i will post a message with a link to the fan club.

I saw the current touring cast in Portland oregon then a few weeks later in Eugene Oregon. This was an amazing cast. Does anyone know if a Touring Cast recording will come out? I doubt it but that would be great!

I highly doubt it because of the high turnover rate (and since this cast is ending in March) but there's always wishful thinking!

Anyways, whats the link to his fanclub? Might check it out, normally I'm not too into fanclubs cus it can tend to be tons of people gushing (Idina- candle vigil style) over whoever is the subject of the fanclub. But I'd like to check it out all the same. He seems like a really nice guy, I've never met him but he actually talks to his fans which says something.

I saw Rent January 16th 2004, it made a stop in my little neck of the woods in Canada. I've been dreaming to see this musical since I was 14..and my god was it ever good. I was very happy..like...3 days later and IM STILL ringing One Song Glory :)
