Tiff, it was just a comment in general, really. :) I know that some people complain about the Broadway cast and how they're 'lacking in energy' on particular nights. But there are just as many who go to the show and adore it as much as the new tour fans adore the tour. :) Rent fans are fickle. Last summer before Drew arrived, there was mucho moaning and groaning about Matt Caplan and how he was bored and how he should move on. (I wasn't one of the ones moaning) Now, since Drew's been there, there's tons of moaning about him and how Matt should come back because he's soooo much better, etc. etc. Anyway, it will be interesting to see what happens in March. When Matt was displaced by Joey, his contract was extended for that number of months. From the people I've talked to at the Neder, the same will be done this time, and Matt will return, and not be leaving at the end of March. It's doubtful that Andy will come to the Broadway cast, given the history of moving non-eq tour members to the Neder. Very rare indeed.
I LOVE YOUR ICON!!!! I HEART ANDY AND I LOVE THE TOUR!!!!
:)
erinrebecca, yeah, my fingers are crossed but it doesn't seem likely.
Even though Andy's far above the role, he could make me like Wicked more if he played Boq. Seriously, picture it. (He sang the "Nessa" line to me in Vancouver and I nearly keeled.)
i saw the show last night in roanoke. it was amazing. a group from my drama class went we all loved it. the energy in the show was great.
I'm glad you had a good time! Post a review! Full cast? Rush tix?
I could so imagine andy as boq!...I would go see it just for him. But I think he should open up for a new show to go onto broadway!
Thank-you soo much 2day4u!
it is amazing...haha i love the computer lab at school!

Saw the show just on wednesday here in Roanoke, Virginia. It was downright amazing. I thought the whole cast was brilliant! It was def. a life changing expereince for me! I am so glad I got to see this wonderful piece of art. I have never seen anything quite like it. I agree Andy Meeks was amazing, as was Damien D Smith who played Angel. He completely knocked me if my feet! INCREDIBLE!!!!
haha, I just love reading all this.. There is definately a lot of hype about the touring cast.. I've seen them a total of 16 times in 4 different cities..
If I can't make it before then I will be in DC for closing..
renthead2005z~ what crazy crack-head might you be refering to that flies across the country to see them? Pure insanity I tell you! hehe
Idk...but she is soo cool and really nice! i hope to see her at the stage door in DC!!! And we have to get a pic together
ANDY v. ANTHONY-who would be better and why?
NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!
Must we compare the two? WHY? WHY?
*calms down*
They're both excellent. But, when it comes right down to it, Anthony Rapp. I mean, he originated the role. And judging by the OBCR, he was perfect. I've always been an Anthony fan. (Not that I don't love Andy Meeks...) :P
I feel the exact same way!
Anthony will always be the perfect person for the character! But Andy is really high up there!
ok...Dan v. Adam
Andy probably would be second on my Mark list...
Adam. Dan had his moments (One Song Glory, Your Eyes), but apart from those big, great moments, I found his interpretation of Roger to be pretty jerky. I wanted to slap or shake him. So as of now, I'm going with Adam, who has (as of yet, I haven't seen him) never made me want to hit him. LOL.
same...Dan was good but at points too breathy!
This doesn't really relate to the current tour cast but, here are some clips of Krystal Washington singing some RENT songs when she was on tour (now she's the current broadway Mimi). She's really amazing, i lov the rock riff she does during OT. How does she compare to Tallia?

Amneris...who is your guitar friend? (could be a former ex...)
OMG, thank you freak! I LOVE Krystal!
I also love Tallia. I'm always torn between them... I *think* I like Krystal's *slightly* better. I don't know. LOL.
The great thing about them is that they're both sooooo good, but both soooo different. I always use this example. They're Mimi's can be described by lines from Light the Candle. Tallia's Mimi is very, "You look like you're sixteen!" while Krystal's Mimi is very, "I'm older for my age." Tallia's Mimi seems very young and carefree and wanting to have fun, while Krystal seems to be a more mature Mimi who is trying to ease her own pain. Thus I've always found Krystal's "In the evening, I've got to roam..." a little more believeable than Tallia's. And Krystal's hair I think is a little bigger than Tallia's (a good thing for a Mimi). But I also think, though I like Krystal's voice, I like Tallia's a little bit better...
They're both really good, I would encourage anyone to see them both.
Man now I wanna see Krystal!...haha but I was very happy with Tallia
