im editing cause i watched it and yeah ..she does disappear for liek two seconds haha. Updated On: 11/29/05 at 04:31 PM
i don't think it counts as a blooper but mimi made quite the miraculous recovery at the end... we were cracking up so bad over that. it was a little too much to believe.
haha yeah.. she looked like she was waking up from a nap.
"Does anyone know where they were riding to/from? I assume Life Support was more uptown or downtown but it seemed like Roger just got up and walked over on a whim - would he have had the $1 availble to spend on the fare? "
It looked like they got on the train at the Church Avenue station in Brooklyn.
I didn't catch it, but I was told the ball of paper on the Range Rover appears and disappears during the scene. I also noticed during I'll Cover You (The 1st one), there is a shot of a black cop walking towards them and then the camera swings around and it is not him who walks past them.

aw, really? i pass that stop all the time on the subway on my way to brooklyn college. <3 wish i had known about where they were filming, it would have been nice to check that out, although it probably would have been from quite a distance.
not necessarily a blooper, but just an observation and that bugs me:
When Mimi writes on Roger's and Mark's window for Roger to meet her downstairs, the writing is facing the correct way, which either means she climbed in the apartment to do it, or she wrote it backwards, and very neatly. I guess it's possible!
Not really a blooper, but funny nonetheless. During La Vie Boheme, when Anthony falls back, Adam looks at Wilson and says, "He's hurting my hand", and then Wilson responds with, "Well, and now we have to rock him". Just thought it was tres tres cute.

Alix- I noticed that! I thought that was odd. It's very difficult to write backwards that neatly. And she couldn't have climbed in to write it because the frost wouldn't be on the inside.
i have one! in la vie boheme, in the beginning when the waiter tells them not to move the tables, wilson says "c'mon ROSIE let's move these tables together" instead of Mimi...unless he was talking about one of the random people at the table lol
I don't think that was a blooper, I think he was just talking to one of the people in the cafe.
I don't think the writing it backwards would be considered a blooper. I would be able to write backwards that neatly. Not sure about a cracked out junkie, though.
with the Rosie thing in the life cafe, i noticed that too, and i thought it was a blooper, but who really knows. i'd like it more if it was.
iwearshoes, they're actually saying it. Everyone's talking as they rock Anthony, and I guess Adam couldn't think of anything better to say. Me and my sister noticed it when we went and saw the movie yesterday.
a lot of the things I noticed were background things not really bloopers, like when Mark climbs on top of the bar in LVB B, Mimi and Roger are doing shots in the background. and the Mark sandwich right before TMOLM.

Not really a blooper, but I didn't want to start a whole new thread: The woman Maureen flirts with at the reception just before TMOLM (she was serving champagne), is that the same girl who plays April?

costume error (although i suspect the costumer was VERY conscious of this)- the fabulous plum velveteen coat that maureen is wearing in TMOLM is NOT period. in 89 she would have had a leather jacket or a blazer. That is a contemporary style, with the chocked collar and the brass buttons, aka, theyre selling em at the gap. but it looked hot.
i've posted this on anohter message, but it fits here too. ..
they show Mark editing footage for his movie. Footage being shown includes Angel dancing in the Santa suit. However, during the "Today 4 You, Tomorrow 4 me" Mark does not have his camera with him, so how was the footage shot?
I noticed that too, WickedlyPerfect... actually, there are a couple different shots in the montage that Mark didn't have his camera for. I suppose if you wanted to make a massive logic jump... uuuuhm... Mark liked Angel's dance so much that he later had him do it again for the camera?? Maybe?? ... okay, perhaps not.

The girl does disappear in the subway. At first, she's sitting next to I think Roger and then she moves to the top left. Then they show around the subway & she was magically gone & the next time they showed that area, she was there again
When Maureen is proposing to Joanne, a girl extra walks behind them, then not one minute later, walks behind them again from the opposite direction. She's carrying a brown paper bag and wearing a tan coat.
OK, this is going back to earlier - but I think it's VERY clear from the movie that Angel knew Mimi before she met Roger. After Rent, there's a shot of Angel looking up, pointing his drumsticks. During the funeral, Mimi definitely sounds like she's known him (which explains the Halloween reference in her speech). Therefore, Angel coming to sing with her, seeing a friend who's CLEARLY hurting, makes sense. Marc and Collins are great friends with Roger - Mimi is imploring him to come out, Marc's been trying this for all this time, he KNEW who Mimi was ("the stripper from downstairs"), so what's wrong with them coming and singing with her at the end of Another Day?

Also, don't forget at the protest, when Mimi goes "AHH!! ANGEL!!" and Angel returns with "MIMI!!!"
And then later, during Without You, you can see a picture of Angel on Mimi's mirror at the Cat Scratch Club.
a little issue i had, not really a blooper per sey. The photos of angel are all professionally taken photos. I can see that for the funeral photo but mimi's mirror photo? would it have been that hard for someone (a p.a., rosario, a random camera guy, anyone) to take an actual snapshot of wilson on the set?
