I like Rent better as a show, but I thought that the Producers movie was better in general. ^_^

I've seen both movies, however I haven't seen a production of The Producers.
Nevertheless, my vote goes to: RENT
...while both films are flawed, The Producers dragged a bit despite the great performance by Nathan Lane.

RENT definitly... I saw both on stage and in theaters, and I just liked Rent more, although the Producers was funny, towards the end (as others have said) it was just like okay end already im tired of you... plus RENT is classic and the message and music are just better.
on a side note: I don't want to start anything, but ljay, what is with you and all the "tweens" comments?? first wicked, now rent.. get over it, yes there are a lot of "tweens" that love shows, but they are allowed to just like the rest of us so stop stereotyping unless you are going to ask every single person who voted or posts how old they are and if they saw both productions in both versions!
