^ The thing about Lansbury wanting a star has been known long before Riedel posted about it. I'm sure she didn't say it in diva way. But she absolutely had the right to make that request.

And if you're worried about Brian Stokes Mitchell, just cast Anna Deveare Smith as Desiree. Then we won't know what country we're in.

When I see the phrase "the ____ estate", I imagine a vast mansion in the country full of monocled men and high-collared women receiving letters about productions across the country and doing spit-takes at whatever they contain. -Kad

So will Fredrick be mainly a stage actor or a film actor? I imagine they were waiting to get their Desiree before casting their Fredrick. And again, I wonder if Jones is a done deal, or how close to a done deal she is.

Nothing would make me happier than Stokes as Fredrik. I know better than to get my hopes up, but that would be perfect.
