Thanks for the responses re: Christiane! I'm a massive fan, and I bought my ticket for tomorrow thinking she'll close the show. I'm bummed out, but I'm looking forward to seeing the "new" Mother. I loved this show back in the late 90s, and I'm not happy it's closing.

I just got a ticket too. Mezz B 101. Very excited! Ragtime at 3 and N2N at 730.

I'm sure if they're to announce any type of extension or hiatus, it'll be announced after Sunday's show. I'm hoping it's true, a 6 week hiatus to have it re-open Feb. 23.

In regards to Christiane's understudy, she was PHENOMENAL tonight. Without looking at my Playbill, I would have thought she was cast as Mother originally.

That's great to hear! I think Christiane is brilliant but I'm excited to see another interpretation of the part.

I'll be there tomorrow. If it is the actual closing, I'll be thrilled to be a part of it and lend my support as best I can. If it isn't for whatever reason, I'm still thrilled to see the show again.
