Anyone else from here going tomorrow?
We have our tickets but need to try the Rush for my niece tomorrow. Is the rush open to just students? I was hoping to at least get two names in. Not going to be easy but keeping our fingers crossed.
The have a lottery, and it's for everyone. Lately they've been do "lotto loser" tickets. $32.50 for obstructed view seats in the orchestra and mezz. Not sure if they will do that for the final performance.

I honestly can't wait.
So excited! See you there!

I'll be there! I just got the 3rd row for regular price. You don't have to rush. You can get plenty of great seats at Ticketmaster right now! See you all there! By the way did anyone see Christines understudy? I'm curious as to how good she is.

From what I heard Mamie sounds alot like Marin. I don't know much about her actually performance though.

I'll be there! Very excited to hear Mamie's belt, because I hear she's more of a belter than Christiane.

Thanks sgv123. It's just IMO, "Back to before" is the show stopper, so I was curious how she will pull it off, and will the audience back her as she is an understudy.
Is it true that Christane's out of the show? Why?

Where'd you hear THAT?
I'll be there.
I'll be there crying my eyes out. Just a quick question - my seats are in row S of the orchestra. Am I going to be able to see the top two levels of the set?
I am getting poor with my niece.: ) If they were still discounts being offered I would have grabbed her a ticket but can't afford another full price ticket.
Thanks for the rush info. : )
I will crying also. The show gets me in 3 places. One is when Sarah and Coalhouse reunite, the 2nd is the end of the first act, and the the 3rd is the end of the second act.
The part that gets me the most I think is the end of New Music and the scene after - especially the line "Harvard university awarded him a degree...imagine that.."

Wait, what?

She had a pre-approved leave for this weekend, from before they knew the show would be closing.

And I wish I could be there, but I'll be in rehearsal. Sending good energy their way though.
Who twittered that?

curtain - yes, i was going to post this when I found out , at about noon, but I just thought that music snob would make a rude comment, say I didn't know what I was talking about and he know more because his wife is a psm or something like that. The load out was canceled, on a sat they had to cancel trucking, so far no load out mon or tues. They are talking about how to extend, I hope they can but how when tickets are not being sold after tomorrow?
Wouldn't you think at this point it would be a lost cause? What advance would they have and the rush was because it was closing.
I just returned from RAGTIME'S matinee...regarding Mamie Parris:
This was her first performance going on as Mother (actually the first time she even ran through the entire show). Mamie is just as beautiful and elegant as Christianne Noll and also has the warmer quality that she posses (versus Mazzie's stiffness IMO). She may have been a bit nervous in the opening but then *SPOILER* she finds the baby in the garden* END SPOILER she brings it...it was amazing.
Her best spots were "Our Children" with Petkoff. Her acting really shone through here and there was some natural chemistry between the two. And of course, "Back to Before"....what to say! To the comments regarding belting: Mamie has a beautiful belt and a stronger one than Christianne (she was the Paulette u/s on the LB tour), and she really came into her own on this song it was transformative, understated and emotional to watch her on that stage alone, she really brought it!
JSG--Christianne had a concert booked for these dates before the show even started and couldn't get out of the arrangement, but I promise you won't be disappointed if you choose to go tonight or tomorrow to see Mamie.
And regarding the move out...it has been cancelled for Monday and Tuesday now....soooo whatever that means no one really knows!
OMG...what is this about the load out being cancelled? So confused!
ljay---good question lol. No one really knows what that means. Possible extension again? Maybe? The could do what Les Miz did and go on hiatus for 6 weeks (contractually must be a 6 week period before returning)..they are probably buying time so that the producers can discuss the next move...and ALW might be playing a part in this seeing as how he wants the Neil Simon held till Love Never Dies.
What I'm hearing is that this all had something to do with the Finian's transfer falling through. The load-out has been delayed for a few days, but unfortunately I don't think this means Ragtime is staying open.
