Any reviews about seeing Phantom from the rear Mezzanine? How are the views? I'm planning to buy tickets soon for a show on December 26.
Thanks!

It is a barn.

I sat in the last row and I thought the view was just fine.

Rear mez is quite a large area so it really depends on where you are.
Because i go see phantom all the time i am happy with back row, literally, but it is very very far away so don't expect to be able to make out faces and all that, however your view is unobstructed unless you get some giant sitting infront of you.
for the 25th anniversary I sat in the front of the rear mez (right behind the asile) and those seats were fine and you didnt feel to high.
Basically the back of the rear mez is like at the same level as the chandelier

Different strokes, different folks.
i find the view from the rear mezz at the majestic to be absolutely fine. Yes, you are far back. Would you expect anything else? It allows you to notice the full scale of the show's design, if not the fine details and allows you to look at what is happening all over the proscenium without craning your head. Obviously, the view is not as grand as the front mezz, but would you expect it to be?
The downside to rear mezz at the Majestic is the expected crowd of ill behaved and often forgeign tourists, so expect language barriers with many and people not well versed in theatre etiquette,

I avoid the rear mezz at the Majestic because it is very far from the stage and the behavior up there is always outrageous. Lots of everything that theater lovers hate about bad theater behavior.

They are correctly referred to as "The Nosebleed Seats"

I wouldn't recommend it for this show. I sat in the last row of the front mezz and I was suffering

I sat in the second to last row of the mezzanine and it wasn't horrible. It was pretty far back, but for the amount you pay its not too bad. There are some obnoxious people though. Like people talking and stuff but that might have just been the day I went. I was able to move to front mezzanine during act 2 when I went on a Thursday so maybe you'll be able to do that too!

You can get obnoxious people in the orchestra as well.

I sat in the rear mezz for the 25th anniversary and felt like I was on another planet. However, the point of attending the 25th was NOT to see the show, but to take part in what was a very special event. For the 50th anniversary, I hope I can sit closer to the front. ![]()

One other thing to note about the Rear Mezz at the Majestic is that there are no handrails, and it is quite steep. It is a little scary walking up, and especially down, the many stairs. This is especially true if you have to get up during the show for any reason, and the theater is dark.
