The executive said Mr. Sprecher still hoped to mount “Rebecca” on Broadway someday.

well that sounds promising... Not.

Do you a previously announced show will take the Broadhurst while it has the chance, or will something new sweep in? Definitely a great theater and location!

Too bad for those who were involved. It's good thing that Sierra Boggess and Tam Mutu joines 'Les Miz' in the West End and John Dossett did both 'Newsies' and 'Giant'.

Hopefully Ryan Silverman will go and finish his album. The one song he released was great. Very Peter Cincotti-esque.

Good luck to the cast and crew. I don't know quite what to wish for Sprecher. Between faceless investors dying and anonymous emails, I think he's done what I didn't think anyone could and that's top the drama behind Spider-Man for sheer unbelievability.

This is just sad. I was personally looking forward to this. Best wishes to the cast ane crew of extremely talented artists who will undoubtly find new work soon! I was hoping they'd pull it off as a big f-u to the haters. Reidel should be ashamed taking such joy. The theatre community may be competitive, but it's also a family that supports each other! Hope the show happens one day!

Still ROFLing at the divine poetic justice on display here: a charlatan producer, who made up a fake email investor to get his project on its feet, sees his production fall apart because he believes the legitimate investors are being scared off by fake emails. This is like something written by Poe, and proves the Universe is sentient and has a sense of humor.

Still waiting for this Sprecher guy to sack up and take responsibility for, oh, anything, instead of blaming it on ScArY EmAiL tEcHnOlOgY and other people. What a moron.

I agree hyperbole. This whole thing is like something out of a Woody Allen movie. I mean, doesn't it feel like we're living in a movie?! If you heard this story secondhand you wouldn't believe it.

Marie: Don't be in such a hurry about that pretty little chippy in Frisco. Tony: Eh, she's a no chip!

I'm glad I'm not alone in thinking this all sounds too erm...produced?

But I must add that I sincerely feel bad for everyone involved, whether this story is true or not.
