Reiber to Appear in Guthrie's CAROLINE

According to her blog, Julie Reiber will play Rose in the Guthrie Theater's upcoming production of CAROLINE, OR CHANGE in Minneapolis.

I find this to be quite odd casting, but I'm excited to see how this production turns out (they're bringing in Kushner himself to help work on it.)

Tonya Pinkins: Then we had a "Lot's Wife" last June that was my personal favorite. I'm still trying to get them to let me sing it at some performance where we get to sing an excerpt that's gone.
Tony Kushner: You can sing it at my funeral.

I thought she was on the younger side, but then again I don't know much about her.
I wonder who they are trying to get for Caroline and Emmie, those--along with Rose and Dottie--are my favorite roles in the show.
If it were playing somewhere close to NY or FL I wouldn't miss it, oh well.

It's much more than that. Kushner will be in residence at the Guthrie during the theatre's spring "Kushner Celebration," when all three stages at the theatre will be presenting Kushner works. In addition to Caroline, these include the world premiere play, The Intelligent Homosexual's Guide to Capitalism and Socialism with a Key to the Scriptures, as well as an evening of his short plays, entitled tiny Kushner.

Begin at the beginning and go on till you come to the end: then stop.

Julie is very excited to do this role. It's nothing like she has never done before. And before anyone attacks me(TimeSquare3 and adamgreer) she told me this on the night before her last day at Wicked.
