Renee Zellweger as Judy?

Sounds like a rip off of "End of the Rainbow" to me...also, Renee Zellweger? What happened to the Anne Hathaway lead biopic"?

I also thought of END OF THE RAINBOW when I read the plot to this JUDY film, but that's that.  I trust the creative team involved with this so I know Zellweger is in good hands and she DOES put more than 150% commitment to all her projects (the heavy weight gain for the BRIDGET JONES films, etc), so I'm expecting another MY WEEK WITH MARILYN and HITCHCOCK type of film which just focuses on a certain project rather than be an overall biopic.  JUDY will just focus on her time in London during the whole TALK OF THE TOWN fiasco, which of course was the same period END OF THE RAINBOW was about.  

I'm just hoping they stick to having Zellweger lip-sync to Judy's original vocals (like Jessica Lange did for her Patsy Cline in SWEET DREAMS).  

As for the Anne Hathaway Judy Garland project?  That one is definitely in limbo as it isn't on any 'in-deveolpment' list on any industry log.  All we know is that she is attached to the project but that can change as it has countless times on other films that have taken time to go into production status.

I like Zellweger. I can't quite picture her as Judy Garland, though. . . . But maybe she'll prove me wrong! I hope so.
