I signed up to be notified on Hot Ticket and didn't hear anything, but tickets seem to be on sale now. See link below for theater lists and to buy tix.
Rent Final Performance Movie Tix
Thanks for the heads up!
I just bought my ticket for 9/24 at 7pm at the AMC 84th Street.

Has anyone else bought their tix yet? Think they'll sell out? I'd like them to continue doing stuff like this, so I hope it sells well!
Rent Final Performance Movie Tix Now On Sale
Not sure when they went onsale here in Denver, but I just called the theater and only 4 have been sold so far. We are getting tickets tomorrow.
I'm a little nervous 'cause the AMC that's nearby here in Jersey isn't pre-selling tickets as of now. Should I wait until the actual date? I can't imagine it selling out but I want to assure myself a ticket. Should I call, maybe?

I also signed up for ticket alert at hotticket and did not get notified that tickets were on sale. It's all good, though, since I was able to get them for 9/28.
TGN: My tickets are at an AMC in Jersey. Try movietickets.com for AMC theaters. They waive the $1 fee if you have a MovieWatchers card.
I'm not sure if it's worth shelling out $20 to see this when I'm seeing the tour with Anthony and Adam this May..
The tour gets here next June. I want to see this final night since they are saying special closing night extras will be shown. So I plan to see both.
Hmm that's true,,this will probably never happen again so I'm sure it's worth seeing.
I'm confused a bit. Is the 9/24 show "live" and the next three taped. Or all four showing taped?
Well, RENT closes on Broadway on 9/7.
So the movie showing on 9/24 isn't live.
I can't believe they are showing this in my town. I'm happy to not have to drive out of town to see the finale. This is great and it is showing out here at regular ticket prices. That's even better. I'm trying to get as many of my friends out to see this. If it does well enough, hopefully more big shows will follow their cue? I would have loved to see the final performance of The Drowsy Chaperone as well. A Chorus Line might have been nice too?
I'm happy too that they are advertising this on Broadway World as well. I checked last week and couldn't find any local Theaters showing the last performance, so I thought I would end up missing it. We really appreciate that the Producers have chosen to give it such a wide release and hope it does well. I suspect it will go to DVD, so we will be able to purchase that also to add to our collection which will be nice. My whole family enjoys this show so we are very happy that they chose to release a recorded live performance commercially, finally!
