So sad to read of the passing of the great Merwin Foard, a true Broadway legend.

Posted: 3/10/20 at 9:20pmI have followed his career since he was in my first Broadway show (he was Gaston in the Toronto production of Beauty and the Beast), and I identified somehow with him. Such a great and respectable career. My thoughts and prayers to his wife and family. Will watch that great documentary of "The Understudies" in celebration.

This is so incredibly sad. Such a genuine, kind, and lovely person. He will be missed greatly. Thoughts to his family.

Wow. Shocking. Saw him go on for Nathan Lane in The Addams Family, so many people left but we stayed and he was fantastic. Pure delight to watch onstage. Saw him in a number of things since then. Always a great performance. Gone too soon... rest in peace!

Horrible news to hear, he was such a talent. So young.
