Revised VANITIES: THE MUSICAL will be presented by York Theatre Co. this spring

The York Theatre Company, in association with Riki Kane Larimer, will present a revised version of Vanities-The Musical, with book by Jack Heifner, music and lyrics by David Kirshenbaum, music direction by Deborah Abramson, and choreography by Shannon Lewis. The show will be directed by Will Pomerantz.

Vanities is set to begin performances on Wednesday evening, March 22, 2023, for a limited engagement through Saturday evening, April 22, 2023, at The Theatre at St. Jean's (150 East 76th Street, between Lexington and Third Avenue). Opening Night is set for Thursday, March 30, 2023, at 7:00 p.m. Cast will be announced soon.

The creative team includes scenic design by Morgan, costume design by Barbara Erin Delo, and lighting design by Mike Billings.

The cast and creative team for the York Theatre Company's Off-Broadway production of Vanities—The Musical have been announced. Presented in association with Riki Kane Larimer, the revised version of the musical will play a limited engagement at The Theatre at St. Jean's beginning March 21 (as opposed to the previously announced March 22) ahead of a March 30 opening night. The run will continue through April 22.

Starring in the show will be Jade Jones (Olney Theatre Center's Beauty and The Beast) in their New York stage debut as Mary, alongside Broadway alums Amy Keum (KPOP) as Kathy and Hayley Podschun (Hello, Dolly!) as Joanne. Olivia Kaufmann (Mean Girls) will serve as standby.

I'll be seeing it next week. I've always liked the score, and a small venue like the York is right for the piece.
