I also recently saw someone mentioned also how large the Broadway Houses are now as well. Is it sustainable to fill these many seats for such an extended period of time? I love the intimacy of theaters on the West End. Does this leave an opening for another city to become the "new Broadway"? Or will off-broadway shows become the feasible route?

I wonder if these absences are in correlation to what Quizking101 alluded to in their review, about the energy level vs sustainability. Also to Bettyboy72 is she getting training on how to sustain this?Hope she's OK, I've heard from a friend she was hilarious in the role, and selfishly, would love for her to extend so I can see her.

I imagine the theatre owners would be willing to work with the Wicked producers. I don't know exactly how it works, but I also think it would be hard to find a show that would bring even half the success Wicked has brought to the Gershwin Theater.

I'm happy Sherrie Renee Scott is going into Rocky. Her "Science Fiction Double Feature" will be one hell of a way to get the show started and set the tone for the evening. I have to be a little disappointed because if she would have opened the show, it is likely she would have been nominated for it, and given this years offerings and how loved she is in the community, she could have won it too...

I somehow missed that Gad and Rannells are going back into "The Book of Mormon" interested to see the sales from that. I wonder if it's a test to see. Have them do this week, see how sales are, announce a closing and have them come back to close out the show. I'm not rooting for that to be the case, but it just seems strategic. I also loved them this Sunday and enjoyed hearing them talk about it on Seth Meyers.

Agrreed. His shows often have sight line problems, as noted by several commenters on these boards. In my opinion, being able to see the action on stage is directing 101. If a large group of the audience can't see what is happening because sight lines were not thought through, that is a poor director.
