Re: Oh Mary Tour

Oct 16, 2026 — 1:08:47 PM

Such a bummer, and seems unlikely Alaska can extend due to her own tour kicking off very shortly after her stint as Mary is scheduled to end. I wonder who will be taking over. Maybe bump Natalie up full time and get a new swing/understudy? I only really know Natalie Joy Johnson from "Legally Blonde" I've listened to that cast recording and have watched the MTV production numerous times. It's a fun show to have playing while out on a run. Her "Enid Hoopes!" during "The Harvard Variations" is a...

One thing I did notice, if you’re going to see Hilty, pay attention to which date because she has quite a few prescheduled absences. I was interested in seeing this but shes out the day I could see her :(

If this is indeed for Its a Wonderful life, I hope they find a way to get the three of them go sing together.

I certainly miss that voice. What are some roles over the last couple of years you think Gavin would have crushed? Earnest Manville (DBH), Abe Lincoln or Mary's Teacher (Oh, Mary!) Dentist (Little Shop of Horrors) are what come to mind. We truly lost a brilliant artist, but boy, what an impact he made with the time he had!

Whatever it is, it will be a short run, she has Gentleman Prefer Blondes in London in March.

I was hoping someone would start this thread! Whatever it is, I just might have to come check it out. "Rocky Horror" seems to make the most logical sense to me. Do we know how long Sherie Rene Scott is staying? "Schmigadoon" I have no desire to see this show, buuuuut if Megan Hilty happens to replace, I'll be there. "Oh, Mary!" Personally, I could also see her as Louise and being so game for it, too. I can't imagine she'd be going into something like "& Juliet" and her &q

Is the balcony closed off? Their social media team put out a recording of Mindelle’s last entrance and they pan to show the audience applauding, but suspiciously do not stop short of showing the balcony.

Wow, what a loss of talent who was just about to experience a really great renaissance almost. When I read this, I instantly started hearing that first bit of music at the top of "Spring Awakening" in "Mama who Bore Me" those deep strings accurately capture the mood for me. To have your first musical that you've composed enter the theater cannon like SA has, is truly remarkable, and I would love to experience a production of "American Psycho" live some time. I may try to catch this off-broadw...

I do think, of course, there are some who are being way to dramatic about Wicked's grosses, but it is note worthy conversation to be having, I think! IMO, I don't think we'll be seeing it close anytime soon. My guess is we'll start seeing some additional things happen before a closing announcement. Perhaps we'll see them cut some orchestra parts, bring in some stunt casting, turn that playbill B&W (if it's not already, haven't been to the Gershwin for a while, I don't know?) anything before t...

I'm a Meg Stalter fan... but... even after watching the stage door videos where it's just a constant bit after bit after bit, I imagine her interpretation is probably similar.

Re: SIX will close on Broadway this winter

I always caught this show with a lottery ticket and always felt like I was treated to a great little show. I've taken several friends to see it over the years. People who "aren't musical theater people" and they love it. Sad to see it go! I'll listen to the album from time to time while on a run and always enjoy it. Cheers to the creators of this show, taking such a fun little concept and taking it world wide.
