Alice Ripley as Amanda! When I read the play over the summer for my honors english course, I heard her voice screaming all the lines in my head the whole time. But Kathy Bates is another great idea.

Laurie Metcalf as Amanda, Sarah Drew as Laura, Stark Sands as Tom, Jason Ritter as The Gentleman Caller. Although the recent revival with Judith Ivey was so thrilling and satisfying that I'd be happy if this show took a break for a while

They should wait a while... As much as Williams is my favorite playwright, it seems that lately for every Broadway revival of one of his plays they get right, there are 6 that are either dull or horribly ill conceived...
