I kinda forgot about Pump Boys and Dinettes(a replacement for Soul Doctor, unless Here Lies Love takes the CINS)and Always.... Patsy Cline.
I like how, when summarizing the three confirmed revivals, you delineated which two were "clearly" the competitors for the Tony, sight unseen. And decided to leave out the one with the most marketable and biggest name…

^true, but that doesn't mean the show is going to be good or bad just because it has NPH. I was only going by fan favorites and by past Tony winners which are Cabaret and Les Mis
Can Can?? (Is that workshop being picked up?)
My Fair Lady?
Gigi? (I believe this was announced)
Oh yeah I forgot about My Fair Lady! With the right cast and creative team, I could it sweeping like South Pacific in 2008.

The thing is that so many have been announced without, yet no one knows where they are going. So, we will just have to wait and see which shows close from now until the deadline for Tony noms.
Miss Saigon, but I think it will not open by the time Tony's come around. 2014-2015 season for sure if all goes well in London
What about Mackintosh's Miss Saigon, Oliver and Barnum? Wasn't there talk of bringing them to Broadway next season?

I'd LOVE to see a revival of "My Fair Lady," unless they do the usual casting thing that I've seen for the last few years and cast an actor as Higgins who is far too old to be a plausible person to attract Eliza. I picture Higgins as late 30's or AT MOST early 40's, although a younger looking actor in his late 40's could probably pull it off. I'd like to see Gerard Butler or Hugh Jackman play the role, but we'll probably get Colm Wilkinson or Patrick Stewart or Alun Armstrong.
@bwayphreak Supposedly it looks like Beautiful will be taking the Stephen Sondheim Theater, no Merrily there

There's no word at all on Merrily is there? Or what will go into Studio 54? That space has been sorely underused by Roundabout of late. I mean...it's one of my least favorite theaters, but I'd still rather see more shows running, even if the seating and sound are lame.
The revival I'm rooting for to get here is the Menier Color Purple which I heard amazing things about and am still extremely sad I wasn't able to get to while I was in London. Ah well--win some, lose some.
Is cabaret even happening???? If studio 54 has not been officially booked yet then it must be happening...right????
I'd love to see Can Can and Merrily open, but with Megan on the new Sean Hayes show, they'll have to find a new star for Can Can.
So far we officially have:
Dames at Sea
Hedwig and the Angry Inch
Les Miserables
Possible:
Always, Patsy Cline
Barnum
Cabaret
Can Can
Funny Girl
The King And I
Merrily We Roll Along
My Fair Lady
Oliver
Pump Boys and Dinettes
Side Show
Anything i'm missing?
I vote MY FAIR LADY starring Audra!!!
One of your question was if it is the only one does it automatically win the Tony. From the rules for the 2012-13 Tony Awards: Revivals. Each year the Tony Awards Administration Committee shall determine
whether there shall exist in quality and quantity a sufficient number of Revivals to merit the
granting of an Award for Best Revival of a Play or Musical and, if so, the Tony Awards
Administration Committee shall also determine whether there shall be a separate Play and
Musical Revival category; provided, however, that if there are at least three such plays and
three such musicals, there shall automatically be separate Play and Musical Revival categories.
A “Revival” shall be any production in an eligible Broadway theatre of a play or musical that: (A)
is deemed a “classic” or in the historical or popular repertoire in accordance with paragraph 2(g)
above; (B) was previously presented professionally at any time prior to the 1946-47 Broadway
season in substantially the same form in the Borough of Manhattan (other than as a showcase,
workshop or so-called “letter of agreement” production) and that has not had a professional
performance in the Borough of Manhattan at any time during the three years immediately
preceding the Eligibility Date; or (C) was previously presented professionally at any time during
or after the 1946-47 Broadway season in substantially the same form in an eligible Broadway
theatre and that has not had a professional performance in the Borough of Manhattan at any
time during the three years immediately preceding the Eligibility Date. The determination that play or musical is ineligible in the category of Best Play or Best Musical shall not, in and of itself,
make the play or musical eligible in a Best Revival category unless the play or musical also
meets the requirements of this paragraph. Regardless of whether a production of a play or
musical is eligible for a Best Revival category, the elements of the production shall be eligible in
those categories in which said elements do not, in the judgment of the Tony Awards
Administration Committee, substantially duplicate any prior presentation of the play or musical,
except as prohibited by paragraph 2(l) of these Rules; provided, that the play or musical
otherwise meets all the requirements set forth herein for Revivals

I don't believe AFTER MIDNIGHT will be deemed a revival. Yes, the music is familiar but what little storytelling exists is original and done primarily through dance. Think Contact. It's a wonderful show(or at least it was as Cotton Club Parade). Hedwig will be deemed a revival, almost no doubt in my mind about it. It's been done everywhere and has been made into a film. Whether or not it's been on Broadway is no longer the standard by which these decisions are made.
This is another part of the rules:
Regardless of whether a production of a play or musical is eligible for a Best Revival category, the elements of the production shall be eligible in those categories in which said elements do not, in the judgment of the Tony Awards Administration Committee, substantially duplicate any prior presentation of the play or musical
My question---is the Les Mis revival a totally new production or is it still using the same elements of the original?

What's the status of the long-aborning revival of ON THE TWENTIETH CENTURY? Loved the original; would very much like to see a re-do of that show.
Is Dames at Sea coming this season or next season? The announcement only said 2014.
I believe On the Twentieth Century's rights are being held by Roundabout for a possible future production. I doubt it would be this season.

SideShow is not happening this season. Next most likely.
"As it has not been on Broadway before, I wonder if Hedwig is well-known enough (like Cinderella) to warrant being in the revival category."
Like WIT, HEDWIG will be considered a revival because it is an acclaimed Off-Broadway work of the 90s.
