Both the Toronto Star and Globe & Mail have articles on Kyle Riabko today:

Matt is Hanschen.
He is no longer a Melchoir Understudy.
Now I wont pretend to have any idea of who this guy is, but judging by his playbill.com write-up, do you think this means Spring Awakening is headed down the same slippery path of 'Rent,' casting never-before-acted singers trying to fill seats with screaming teens?

In response to Theatreboy- I don't quite know, but I hope not.
In response to the thread, I am not a huge fan of Socha- I think she'll be a huge step down from Lea.
TheGuiltyOne2, as of last Saturday, Doyle is still one of three Melchior understudies.
Doyle is most definitely a Melchior understudy. JB Wright was as well n(except for his last 3 months), but never went on. The producers have guaranteed him Melchior time.

I met Kyle at an audition for Godspell back in December and he's a pretty nice guy. Kinda quiet and subdued but super talented. He really has a great voice. Hope he does well in SA
Good luck to Kyle. They announced that he would be joining the cast at a Hanson concert I was at in April, but didn't say which part.
He contorts his face when he plays guitar, so if he can avoid that - he should be good to go. Haha.
Alice Lee was Eponine in my school's production of Les Miz last year. She was fabulous. We were all so excited for her when we heard the Spring Awakening news.
