Wow Broadway is actually confirmed then if it's coming from McDonagh himself. I hope everything works out - I loved the play. I've been thinking a lot about how great Johnny Flynn was and I really want more people to see his performance.

God I hope he comes to Broadway with this. He is my favorite musician and have seen him several times when he has toured here, but would love to see him act. I didn't realize he was in this play until all this talk about Broadway and am kicking myself for it.

This just extended through March 25. Seems pretty late for a run to last at the Atlantic if it's planning to transfer to Broadway thereafter before the Tony cutoff date...

sIt would be cutting it very short...but they could still do it with an extremely short preview period.

^^I was just thinking the same thing. Unless they have a really short preview period, it doesn't seem like it's posible. Maybe they're planning to transfer in the fall to avoid competing with Harry Potter for the Tonys? Plus they may not want to get lost in the shuffle with so many things opening in the Spring.

It's no longer transferring, at least not in the foreseeable future.

Do you have any more details on that that you'd be willing to share?

Nope. That's all I was told by friends involved with the production.

Notifications went out to Atlantic subscribers today about tickets for the extension. In the mail, it specifically states that the production will not be transferring to Broadway.

What a shame that the transfer didn't work out. I very much enjoyed it and wish it was the play McDonagh was getting tons of recognition for this year instead of Three Billboards. If my budget allowed it, I'd see the show again. If you haven't seen it, go!
