Well, after SPRING AWAKENING, I'm really looking forward to seeing what they can do with NERO.

Hopefully, Sater can do a better job of character development, though.

I don't know. The whole notion of reviving Guys and Dolls again, especially with this proposed cast, just sort of bores me. The '92 revival was so great. I can't imagine this production having the same kind of spark. And it's just too soon.

Of course, I love to be proved wrong. re: Riedel: Messing, Hathaway for Guys and Dolls, Nero on Broadway?

Robert Alda, Malon Brando, Peter Gallager..... Patrick Wilson? I love Patrick Wilson, but I really think that he is not slick/manly enough to play Sky. I think his voice is way too high and I really don't want to be dissapointed by him again like I was in the Oklahoma revival.

I love the rest of the casting choices!

Smaxie, I didn't mean to say that Wilson is a "geezer" by any means. I just see Anne Hathaway as a very young actress (probably because I still associate her to the young naive girl parts like PRINCESS DIARIES, DEVIL WEARS PRADA, and even Encores! CARNIVAL).
Foster, you're right, Krakowski was definitely out-of-the-box casting, she must have made a very unique divine Miss Adelaide. I trust Messing though.

Wilson seems like a prefect fit for Sky. How about we cast Kate Winslet as Adelaide and we change the show so Sky and Adelaide runs off together after "Take Back Your Mink". And then we watch them hump like rabits for the rest of the show.

"Perhaps her 30 Rock schedule."

Bingo.
Tonya Pinkins: Then we had a "Lot's Wife" last June that was my personal favorite. I'm still trying to get them to let me sing it at some performance where we get to sing an excerpt that's gone.
Tony Kushner: You can sing it at my funeral.

This would certainly be a great cast, but I seem to doubt that all 4 of these people would do the show
They might not be huge stars, but they all seem very busy with film/television careers, so I dont know, I just dont see all 4 doing the show. Maybe 1 or 2 of them though, but it just seems like almost too good to be true, haha

And that musical NERO sounds interesting. Is it more rock music, or a more traditional Broadway score?

If this is true, I hope Anne Hathaway learns to control that vibrato of hers before going on Broadway. And that Patrick Wilson learns to become more interesting.
Jimmy, what are you doing here in the middle of the night? It's almost 9 PM!

Yes, there are worse, but that doesn't make it good.

Also, in "I Wonder What Became of Me," she sort of forced that B5. Hopefully she'll have stopped that habit by the time she plays Sarah, because that 8 beat A5 is NOT easy.

I love this cast, and I hope it really does happen! I was already looking forward to this revival but if these four are going to be a part of it, I'm even more excited1
A little swash, a bit of buckle - you'll love it more than bread.
