re: Ring of Fire to have a Cast Recording

This is getting a cast recording but Threepenny hasn't had one announced yet? What!?

re: Ring of Fire to have a Cast Recording

i don't think it's a waste at all.

that cast was amazing. people who hated the show can't say they didn't think each and every one of those people on stage didn't haven an insane amount of talent and weren't committed to the little material they had to work with. everyone gave consistently great vocal performances... at least in my opinion.

and at every single show (no exaggeration), people would come up after or during intermission and ask if there would be a cast recording. so there's definitely interest

I'm happy for all of them.

Or maybe they already recorded it, because I used to hear it all the time on XM Radio.
Is that crazy?

Well, at least this is not another show that gets lost in history. I am also, very excited for the cast.

Josh, I get what you mean! I heard a song the other day on XM 28 and I thought it had to be from Ring of Fire.

At least the fans of the show will have something to listen to to remind them of it.

I'll buy it, because the show sounded really great. I'm sure they're doing it because they're going to do a road production or midwest sit-down and they'll want to be able to sell the OBC.

re: Ring of Fire to have a Cast Recording

I really want to hear Ring of Fire, so I'll buy it. Threepenny must be recorded... It is just too unfair that it won't be running long enough for me to see it.

re: Ring of Fire to have a Cast Recording

Despite what everyone is saying about how they must be doing a cast recording because the show will be sitting down in Peoria or Emporia or Branson, and a cast recording would help sell tickets, etc. etc. etc., the fact is that Johnny Cash's son, John Cash, has been planning to produce an album since before the show started previews.

WithoutATrace-

glad to see a confident statement on 'Threepenny' getting a recording, but dying to know: is there any official backing behind it? i would love it if there was because this production needs a cast recording.

here's hoping!
