Shankman has said, accurately, that he sees ROA as Mama Mia on testosterone. If Zac and Miley end up as Drew and Sherry it will be like Mama Mia on Flinstones Vitamins.

If he wants to gear this movie towards straight males, then why would he even consider casting people who will prevent straight males from seeing it.

It doesn't matter if she changes... she's still a stripper! There is no way in hell that a 16 year old caught in the evil wrath of Disney will play a stripper.

Well... to continue the saga...
Miley was at RoA tonight seeing the show. And all the producers were there to make sure she enjoyed herself.

I really get nothing out of telling you all this other than I like knowing things when they happen and I thought you guys would too. I can't believe how much flack I'm getting back from it! LOL Why would I make crap up? I have nothing to prove and nothing to gain.

And why would the producers need to keep anything secret? They, like they have always been, are really excited about their show/movie. And they've always been open about what's happening with the future of the show.

I thought I'd share.

Yeah! Whenever a celebrity goes to a Broadway show that instantly means that he/she is going to star in the film adaption!

According to all the wank-blogs of the internet, namely Egotastic and IDontLikeYouInThatWay, there are TONS of straight guys who would love to see Miley Cyrus as a stripper. Lolita a bit, but still.

She's so skinny. She's 16! I just don't see how she could possibly work. Her voice is good enough, but that's the only positive thing.

And I don't like the idea of Franz being 20 years older then Sherrie.

I was hoping Constantine would be Drew in the movie. If Miley is being considered as Sherrie, that isn't going to happen.

Musicsnob - What I know is what I posted much earlier - producers will never say anything to the groupies of a show that they don't expect will be broadcast all over the place. In other words, who knows what the truth is - when they are ready to make public announcements, the producers will do so.

Then those Producers aren't the brightest. You NEVER admittedly comment on a major motion picture project, when connected to its development, prior to contract negotiations.

If you are actually taking to the Producers of this flick and they encourage you to post rumors, then they should be questioned and possibly punished for their continuous display of breaking Studio Policy. Simple as that.

I hope others in the field will recognize & agree with me, as its standard procedure! Oy.

Just to be clear - these producers know exactly what they're doing.

For a group that was primarily involved in film, they did a damn good job with ROA on stage.

No, no, don't take Naked Maid for a fool. He's just like other groupies, who make it their business to get to know as many people connected with a show as possible, because it makes them happy to feel like they're in with them.

Long ago I was a groupie for the Rocky Horror Picture Show.

I'm just saying that you must take what the groupies say with a grain of salt.

I don't anything about this specific situation, but that, quite frankly, is nonsense. Whose "Studio Policy"? Just who, exactly, is going to punish them ("punish"? Seriously?).

Producers quite frequently leak information for a variety of reasons, and anyway, how the hell would they know NakedMaid is posting? Is (s)he wearing a sign that says "I post on BWW"?
