Was anyone there?--- (sorry.. searched, and didnt see another threat)
He was on top of his game. He will REAlly be missed in "ITH"-
I am not that familiar with the "La Cage" score, but I think they played some of the music at curtain call-
Robin was doing leg kicks.
In other news... cant wait until Janet cames back to play Nina-
Courtney Reed is cute, but some of her vocal were painful !!
And her chemistry with Chris Jackson just wasnt there.
Corbin actually got better- He is so good (just a pet peeve that the new Playbill cover pisses me off just a bit)
Anyway--- the crowd--- OY !!! "Catcalls" all night !
My entire section was talking and narrating !!!
Felt like the "Rocky Horror Show" !!
Best of luck to Robin ! Such a great guy !!

I was there! I had an SRO ticket, which I think may be a detriment on your first visit to the show. I felt really out of the action, which could be because of the idiots sitting in the rear orchestra.
I loved Corbin. Since I have nothing to really compare him to, I enjoyed him a lot.
I do have to disagree with you about Courtney though. I thought she was great and did a nice job. I even asked her if she would be the full-time Nina.
I was touched though by Corbin's performance in the sadder parts of the show. Like I said, I think I need to experience the show from a seat where I can see the interactions and facial expressions. The lotto gods weren't on my side, but I think that was because there was a HUGE crowd for Robin's last!
I must make a note of Corbin's interactions with the fans at the stage door. He was SO accommodating to everyone who wanted a photo with him. I had the misfortune of being smashed into the barricades by a bus trip full of tweens and didn't get the opportunity to tell him how much I enjoyed his performance because these girls were acting like animals. I get that you are excited to meet a performer, but shoving things in a person's face is very disrespectful to that person. I can see if he was being rushed out of there, but he was taking his time. Some of you may argue about how big of a "star" he is, but his name is a big draw to the show. He is a triple threat....movie, theater and recording artist. It is nice to see someone of his popularity/talent act the way he did at the stage door.
Glad to hear they were selling Standing Room, which means they sold out. How full has the theater been this past week?
Drunk,
Totally sold-out last night !!! Was so good to see !!
Its a scary thought for a Bway show, but I really think they need to add to the preshow announcement, reminding people not to talk during the show.

Bscott--- I think Courtney is just going on for now as Nina, before Janet returns. If you havent seen Janet as Nina, you are in for a treat- SOOOO good !
And I agree about Corbin. Excellent as Usnavi !!! Getting better and better !!
Have they announced who the new Sonny will be?
David Del Rio

So "movie, theater and recording artist" is the new definition of "triple threat"?

<< Is the new In The Heights Playbill of Corbin? >>
Yep... thats the new cover-- same pic in B/W
I was glad to see the show in such good shape still. Last night was amazing. I really liked Courtney Reed, actually. Thought she captured everything Nina was supposed to be.
I was pleasantly surprised by Corbin.
I was there last night too, in standing room - probably saw you BScott. There were definitely some obnoxious individuals in the rear orchestra, and the ushers standing behind me were fairly chatty too. But I was just happy to be in the theatre - Robin was terrific as always and I'm sad to see him go, but glad he's moving on to a new project that I'm really excited bout. I liked Courtney just fine as Nina, but the age difference between her and Chris, at least from where I was, was a bit scary.
Lin came on in a wig during curtain call. He's such a funny man. Great, sad night.

That was supercute that Robin pulled the lotto for his last show, but I had to turn that video off, I just felt like some creeper being able to listen to everything that the girl with purple hair and all of her friends were saying...

^ Has anyone see him live yet? I do admit that he does look more of a cousin to Corbin than Robin does.

Thanks for the photo. I wish Jesus luck on the next show!
I saw the show last night. David was great! A very believable 16-year-old.
I liked Corbin a lot. Also enjoyed Janet Dacal as Nina. When she was the understudy, did she always use a wig? Or did she use her curly hair? I was shocked when she made her entrance.
Overall, It was a strong performance.
ljay, I believe when Janet went on as Nina in an understudy capacity she straightened her hair.
Oh, ok! Her hair was straight last night. But I couldn't tell if it was her real hair or a wig.
