Robin Williams is in a intensive care unit of a Miami hospital with heart issues.
All four performances of his one man have been cancelled, will this have a bearing on his New York performances?

Did you just break the news before BWW ?
Sad to hear about Robin Williams! Hope he's okay.
How do we know if it will effect his New York show..? Wait for a report from the hospital or William's reps.
Patience.

From News.Com.au ( Australian online newspaper )
ACTOR Robin Williams is reportedly in the intensive care unit of a Miami hospital with heart issues. The Miami Herald reported Williams recently postponed all four performances of his one-man show in Florida.
Williams, 57, has been on his 'Weapons of Self Destruction' tour since September last year

Depending on the policies of an individual hospital, you can be in an intensive care unit and not be deathly ill. For instance, certain medications that are administered via drip are only given in ICUs in some hospitals.

Someone is reported to be in the hospital, and the first thing people ask is "Will this have a bearing on his New York performances?"
I'm sorry, but this is a human being we're talking about here. I'm sure he and his family are more focused on his recovery than his upcoming shows. A little perspective, please.

Would it be out of order to visit him in the Hospital wearing a red rubber nose?

I did not mean to make light of Robins illness, and why it came across as such, thats not wehat I meant.
I wish him a very speedy recovery and also glad to here that the story that was picked up in Australia, has since been proven incorrect.
The only reason I brought up the New York shows was Variety run a story on them yesterday, saying how they sold every ticket in under ten minutes, that in it's self is a wonderful. I meant no offence

According to Robinwilliams.com
"March 5th, 2009
MARCH 5, 2009 NEW YORK, NY – Robin Williams is postponing the remainder of his critically acclaimed one-man show, “Weapons of Self-Destruction,” to undergo surgery for an aortic valve replacement. The tour is expected to resume in the fall. Previously purchased tickets will be honored once the new dates are scheduled or ticketholders can contact their place of purchase for refunds.
“I’m so touched by everyone’s support and well wishes,” said Williams. “This tour has been amazing fun and I can’t wait to get back out on the road after a little tune-up.”
Williams has been on the sold-out 80-city “Weapons of Self-Destruction” comedy tour since September 2008."
Best wishes Mr. Williams, get well soon!

Rosscoe, I know that you're a very nice person. Truly.
We all say things sometimes that "don't come out the way we meant them."
Amoni's comment (below), on the other hand, is rather insensitive, especially in light of the updated news on his condition. (Not to mention the death of his brother.)
