Posted: 11/20/06 at 10:27amOk, so I was totally shocked to learn that he was in "Camelot" in the 70s. Who was he? Who did he perform with? I'm sure he was good, I've seen clips of him in "I Do, I Do" but I'm still curious.

As far as being sure he was good...it was one of the worst performances (up there with Tony Curtis in "Sugar") I've ever seen on any stage. During his rendition of "Our Private World" there was a mad dash of theatre patrons off to use the bathroom. After having first seen it in New York, I realized how an inept lead in a touring production can totally ruin the entire experience of seeing what was once an enjoyable show. Yes he did stop the show...every time he sang the show came to an abrupt halt. Where his character in "I Do, I Do" is more of a "personality role" I fear his King Arthur might have been right on par with his Oscar Jaffe.

Saw the show at Westbury Music Fair, L.I. Rock was very good, actually. He dashed past my aisle seat on one of his entrances, dripping sweat copiously. If I'd known then what I know now, that might have made me nervous. I still have the programme somewhere.

The most vile comment I have yet read on this website.

If you are old enough to have seen this, surely by May 2, 2020, you are educated enough to know that you can't catch HIV through sweat droplets on your arms or legs. Comments like this is why so many did and still suffer discrimination. Shameful.
