Never really thought about it to be honest! I suppose if i were female i'd like to play Nancy in Oliver! because she has the best song and her character develops so much.

Oh, there are so many I can hardly count! XD
First and foremost, Toby from Sweeney Todd. Aaah, how I'd love to play that. Next, Zangara or the Balladeer from Assassins. And another dream role of mine is Jack from Into the Woods. Giants in the Sky is such an incredible song.

Lastly, anyone from Bee. But probably Chip the most. Getting up there every day and throwing candy at an audience while singing about an erection in a geeky scout uniform and large glasses has got to be incredibly fun and freeing.

Forgot about Sweeney & Jekyll/Hyde. And Herod in JCS.

Also- some roles I would love to play if I had the voice/age/look for it:
Fosca- Passion
Mme Thenardier (sp?)- Les Mis (tho' i think I could pull this one off, given the chance)
Aldonza/Dulcinea- LaMancha (auditioning for this one in the spring- eep!)
Imogene Herdman- Best Christmas Pageant... (sorry, just did this show...)

Salieri in Amadeus (yes, I know I have already mentioned this. But I adore this role!)

Emcee- Cabaret
Dracula- in any show
MaCavity- Cats
Drosselmeyer (sp?)- The Nutcracker (yeah, it's a ballet and not a play, but I still love this character and think it has a lot more potential than what I have seen realized.)
Mercutio- R&J
Merlin- Camelot
Salieri- Amadeus (oh, have I already mentioned that? I have regularly been told that I am terribly butch, so maybe I could do it...)
Willy Wonka (auditioned for this several years ago, didn't get it)
The only guy in "Last of the Red Hot Lovers" (I forget his name)-although I would love to be Bobbi too.

I would love to play Kim is Miss Saigon, but it'll never happen unless there's an extremely controversial production of it.

Evita because thats just what the show needs, a touch of star quality!
The Phantom in the Phantom of the Opera, just because it has a great score.
The Lady of the Lake because of Diva's Lament.
Brave Sir Robin because of the song You can't suceed on broadway
Freddie in Chess it has a great score.
Muriel in DRS because she steals the show with What was a woman to do
