...was the standout of Book of Mormon (one of the many highlights)! He was freaking hilarious and was perfect for the role!

Apparently, they expanded the role because of him.
i totally agree. he stole the show, and i think could be a contender for a featured actor tony.

Is the role big enough to get a Tony nod?
I loved how his comedic moments were usualy subtle and in the background.
this show needs to blow-up already so i can watch online promo material, recordings, youtubes, etc... i cant get enough!
Agreed, Rory steals every scene he's in! I enjoy him more and more every time. Hoping he gets a featured actor nod. His comedic moments (especially the bit at the end when he brings Elder Price and Cunningham to their living space) kill me.
If I had my way, I'd see the entire ensemble nominated for a Tony. A shame they don't do that.
He definitely deserves a supporting actor nod. He was terrific.
Agree. Everyone I know who saw it remembers him. Definitely think this show will make him a star.
He certainly looks like a well proportioned healthy young man.

Is he officially the most Irish performer on Broadway right now? If not, his name and overall gingerness must put him in at least the top 3, right? (Note: I am a ginger person with freckles, so please don't take offense.)
If Katie Finneran can win for her (brilliant) 10 minutes on stage, then Rory O'Malley can certainly get a nomination.

“Turn It Off” is a hilarious chorus-line piece about repression, performed by the (all-male Mormon) missionaries and destined to make a star of its lead singer and dancer, Rory O’Malley (whose character is repressed in his own special way). - New York Times
... called it!
I hope he gets a Tony nod. The role was small, but extremely memorable.
He's hilarious and deserves a nomination, for sure. I agree with Kad. The ensemble of this show is the best reason I can think of to institute a Best Ensemble Tony award. They are the heart of the show, truly. They are the reason so much of it works so incredibly well.
