Rosie power is waning,
the website http://www.season-tickets.com
has tickets for Mary Poppins on Broadway Friday and Saturday this weeeknd at face value!...lol and this is one of the busiest weekends all year in the city. I guess Rosie does not have the same demographics of viewers she had 9 years ago.
I am not sure what shows the house moms watch if any now that the internet is soo much easier to use than it was 9 years ago.
She did create a great buzz for Lion King in 97, maybe that the show opened in London takes some of the bang away from declaring it a hit when it already is one in London for 2 years?

I don't see what's wrong with Rosie declaring it's the best musical in the past 10 years. Rosie's enthusiasm is WONDERFUL- she does all kinds of good for the theatre community. I LOVE how enthusiastic she is. So what if she loves everything? I think that's great. I think she is a fabulous human being. Sure, she makes mistakes (a la Kelly Rippa...) but don't we all? She has so many great causes... Her level of enthusiasm is something I wish I could see in a lot more people.
P.S. I'd be willing to bet a large chunk of change that she is a member on this site. Wonder which avatar she's hiding behind?

I really like Rosie! And I love that she is so enthusiastic about Theatre. She does have a tendancy to proclaim that every show she sees is "THE GREATEST SHOW EVER".
I'm not saying that Mary Poppins isn't a shoow show, but it's certainly not the best show ever.

Not even a little hey or anything. She was in Camelot, the little kids, and I was in Main 2-the preteens. We don't mix unless we're in the kiddie show.

>>And Harvey F. does the same thing with calling people Cookie. Hahaha
At the Hairspray stagedoor, his autoraph smudged up so he croaked 'Oh I'm so sorry Cookie, write me a letter and I promise I'll write you back."

Personal opinions on Rosie aside, I'm surprised no one has mentioned the fact that on opening night of "Poppins," Disney blew off the traditional Opening Night Party, and instead donated the money for such a fete towards Arts Education organizations (yay!), namely ROSIE'S KIDS, who were also invited to sit in the audience on opening night.
That + ABC = of COURSE a positive comment towards the show.
