Expect to see her back at the Hilton. Her kids loved it!
Take a look
very interesting. glad she enjoyed it as did vivi, parker, chelsea, and blake.
Yeah, her kids loved it but she didn't come outright and say that she loved it. If she likes a show she'll say "I this" and "I that" about it...all she referred to was that her kids enjoyed it.
I know there are some shows she doesn't enjoy...she mentioned them somewhere before but took it back later because she wouldn't discourage anyone from seeing a Broadway show.
If you watch very closely, Rosie blinks her eyes in morse code while discussing her kid's opinion of the Pirate Queen: "I-T--S-U-C-K-E-D" I fear that she's being held against her will.
Seriously, I don't think there's any higher praise Rosie could have given this show on this national platform, watched by countless potential tourists wondering what shows to bring their kids to when they visit NY this summer.

What an amazing plug for The Pirate Queen. I agree with Tech that for The View's audience a higher praise could not have been given.
I feel The Pirate Queen just can't win though. Rosie just praised it as her kid's favorite show in their life! And yet people go on and on about how Rosie herself must have hated it. Give me a break. Here's a transcript of The View in case anyone can't watch the You tube clip...
Rosie- "Took the kids in to the city. We went to see The Pirate Queen. Can I say... it was there favorite show in there life!" Elizabeth- "Really?"
Barbara- "You know, I'm happy to hear that cause it didn't get great reviews. It's by the same people who did Les Miz."
Rosie- "And it got mixed reviews and we went with kids from ages four to eleven. And they were entranced! A three hour show! It's a Big, big musical, you know elaborate costumes and sword fights..."
Elizabeth- "They must have loved that!"
Rosie- "Oh my god! As we were leaving Vivey was like 'When are we coming back?'"
And then Barbara cut Rosie off to talk about Frost/Nixon. Nothing about that can be viewed as bad press! In fact now middle America thinks the show got MIXED reviews and is perfect for families visiting NYC for the summer. Go PQ!

Did you invest in the production?
It's a good thing Babs cut Rosie off because her next sentence, in answer to her daughter's question was, "When hell freezes over, kid, now get your butt in the van."
Tech - your avatar.... it's changed! My whole day is thrown off now. LOL
Say what you want but producers want their show mentioned by Rosie just as much as the theatres want to house Mel Brook's next show.
She totally plugged PQ as a family show! Although I must say, her 4 year old must be really special to sit through ANY show. That really says a lot about the kid, her as a parent, and the show.
And did anyone stop to think that if she didn't like it or didn't want to mention it - she didn't have to say anything AT ALL about even going?

Yankee- No money invested...which is probably a good thing.
SueleenGay- That is HILARIOUS. I love the idea of Rosie packing'em all into the family van. hahaha
I think those tacky YF Producers keep sinking to lower and lower levels which just makes me root for PQ even more.

Not to mention that Rosie gave the show a slot on last Tuesday's program. She is being her usual wonderful self and supporting live theater. How many other TV personalities care the slightest bit about Broadway?
I can't really figure out how this can be spun negatively, but let's all keep trying.
Oh, and Popular, I have an exciting new Avatar planned. It's coming on 4-23-07!!!
