“I’d love to produce Bare, and I wish that I had known about it at the beginning stages, instead of where it is now. I wish that I had known about it sooner, because I love it, and I think that it’s a great show, I really do. I think that if there was a way that would make sense for everyone I would love to do it. But I don’t think that it makes sense at this point from a numbers point..."
What part of BARE could possibly not make sense. It's gonna take someone like Rosie to get this show up and running, and the show deserves it.

Posted: 3/28/05 at 2:00pmThat'd be soooo cool if Rosie produced Bare. I don't know if it'd be a commercial success, but the show deserves to live.

Posted: 3/28/05 at 3:26pmI know Taboo failed and all the jokes about "Never put your own money into a show..that's just Taboo"...what exactly happened with Taboo? I miss it. And I also miss Bare. I don't think it's her that Taboo failed, just..I dont know...if she could bring a show back, that would be great.

Don't get me wrong, I love Rosie. But hasn't she learned from the last producing mishap that she should get a bunch of people to back a show, and not just her.
Call me crazy...(b/c sometimes I am)

Two things-
1. Bare has lost its momentum by this point.
2. I wouldnt how willing the Bare "people" would be about letting rosie touch the show. (interperet that as you will)

Posted: 3/28/05 at 4:24pmThe thing is, the actors and actresses have commitments now. Jenna Leigh Green has moved on to Wicked, Michael Arden has been doing various projects and John Hill...is...being John Hill.

Firstly, if "Bare" was remounted, it would not have the complete ATA cast.
Secondly...
"1. Bare has lost its momentum by this point."
Tell that to the fans who ask about the show on a DAILY basis at Dodger Stages.

Momentum, my ass.
If it was announced that Rosie was bringing back Bare, the theater community would go INSANE! And I KNOW it would make money with the right publicity team.

i would love to see it back cuz i would love to FINALLY see it

Posted: 3/28/05 at 6:35pmSo it wouldn't be the original cast, oh well, people are replaced on Broadway all the time. sing me up to put in ten bucks. Lets mount this thing ourselves.

Posted: 3/28/05 at 6:37pmand call me crazy, but i am almost 100 percent sure that rosie will do it bcz of the underlying theme. She is gay, and the show promotes gays, so she has to!...right...i wish.. it does need to come back, so if anyone out there knows rosie, and can talk her into it, or write her a letter do it...now!

Posted: 3/28/05 at 7:12pmDoes anyone have contact info for Rosie? we can start a letter writing campaign.

We must remember that BARE's strongest asset was its amazing cast at the ATA (particularly Michael Arden and Jenna Leigh Green). I think Rosie realizes that - as well as the fact that she'd essentially have to start from scratch - which is why she doesn't want to produce it now.

Posted: 3/28/05 at 9:20pmIf this show were remounted for say Broadway, how would it word Tony wise. LIke would it be considered a new musical, even though it had already have a run? Or would it be a revival? Even thought it's reviving something that happen not even a year ago? this is just theoretical...
#24re: Rosie and BARE
Posted: 3/28/05 at 9:23pmBecause in never played on Broadway it would not be a revival.
