Just heard on Today that Nicole Scherzinger is in talks to bring Cats to Broadway "next year."

The only rumors I ever heard regarding Carousel came from one poster. The same poster who assured us that Amazing Grace, Honeymoon in Vegas, and Living on Love were going to be huge hits and An American in Paris was going to flop hard. 

 

In other words, I wouldn't hold my breath waiting for Carousel to transfer from the Lyric Opera of Chicago.

It's not like it's impossible for carousel to make a transfer. It just has to play Houston first, right?

Correct me if I'm wrong but I'd say the most likely new additions would be:

Booth: Grounded

Cort: Hughie

Lyceum: Bright Star

Neil Simon: Gotta Dance/Amelie

Nederlander: Maybe either Gotta Dance or Amelie

Besides those theaters we'll have to wait for closing notices

I'm still confused how so many people are convinced that Grounded is transferring this season, let alone ever. Did I miss some announcement?

There was an announcement saying that they WANTED to transfer, but that was a while ago. We also heard that Iceman Cometh wanted to come in this season, but I doubt that's happening. 

 

I hope Amelie doesn't get stuck with the Simon. That theatre is way too big for that show, which is relatively intimate. Even the Nederlander might be too large for it IMO. But I guess that would be better than no transfer at all. I'd love to see Amelie take the Hayes, since Dames doesn't seem to be doing well.
