This is what happens when I'm up at night (REALLY) bored and on youtube.
Trust me, there's so much more that I could post.

Posted: 10/28/09 at 4:32pmHey, no worries! I mean, it's still not confirmed that they're including it on the Highlights CD...

I kind of love that video. Especially when Brian goes all wide-eyed at the camera. And how wonderfully dorky Chris Sieber's dancing is, especially the move where he waves his fingers in time to the music. Awesome.
Also, it is kind of confirmed Believer is being added to the Highlights CD. The Amazon page now has a product description:
"SHREK--The Musical is Broadway's hottest show and the Original Cast Recording is a hit. Now, the long-awaited HIGHLIGHTS, featuring all the great songs--PLUS a bonus, a newly recorded version of "I'm A Believer." "

Haha cool!
Now here's praying that they add in The Goodbye Song, the extended dance break in Morning Person, the extended version of The Traveling Song, and fix the glitch in Who I'd Be!
(They won't do any of these things...)

Posted: 10/28/09 at 5:06pm^^Oh my goodness! Someone else who has noticed the glitch in Who I'd be!!! I always ask people if their CD has this, and everyone doesn't seem to understand what I'm saying. The broadwayworld.com radio presentation of the Cast Recording didn't have the glitch, so I imagine it was just a flaw in the initial burning of the CDs or something. I wish I could have somewhere to send an email to.

UGH it pisses me off every time it plays on my ipod. Of course this is nearly every day (it's currently my favorite song...) so I'm forced to listen to that... I mean, I'm praying that the new CD won't have it, because god knows the cast/creative team/producers have noticed it!
(And for the record, the glitch is the first note being cut off, right? Because that's my main issue with this OBCR.)

Posted: 10/28/09 at 5:22pmYeah, that's it exactly. When did you buy the CD, if I may ask? I got mine from the theatre within the first couple days of its release.

Posted: 10/28/09 at 7:09pmWhy does the HIGHTLIGHTS CD feature ALL the songs, PLUS a bonus track? Wouldn't that be the regular CD and the highlights CD would feature highlights of the complete CD?

^^ I know, I found that amusing too. Oh, marketing.
Although the OBCR is doing fairly well, I think, so that's not totally exaggerated, but still.

If we wanted a blank CD we'd just go buy a 20-pack at WalMart.

Posted: 10/28/09 at 8:30pmHaha I Shrek definitely is a guilty pleasure of mine, but I will totally admit that some songs are horrid. Not all, though. Who I'd Be is probably one of the most beautiful songs I've heard this season!
#147re: SHREK closing Jan. 3rd
Posted: 10/28/09 at 8:45pmOh I like Shrek too and I'm totally willing to admit that parts of the score are weak but there are a couple of gems in there, particularly Who I'd Be.
