Really has no one suggested Idina & Kristen?

Joe, I did in the previous thread. They're right up there with Nathan and Matthew.

"Karen Ziemba and Kaitlin Hopkins."
YES.
YES.
YES.
YES.
YES.
YES.
This is by FAR my favorite suggestion yet. I love each individually but I think Hopkins, especially, would be the new definition of what the role should be.

"The Spectacle has, indeed, an emotional attraction of its own, but, of all the parts, it is the least artistic, and connected least with the art of poetry. For the power of Tragedy, we may be sure, is felt even apart from representation and actors. Besides, the production of spectacular effects depends more on the art of the stage machinist than on that of the poet."

Actually, it was a joke, referencing the physical resemblance.

Rath - I got that, but I still think it is brilliant!

I think it's worth pointing out that it could literally be any two actresses. Think about it: Emily Skinner and Alice Ripley don't look anything like each other in terms of looks or size. The effect was created with make-up, costumes, and wigs. The thing they have in common is that they are amazing performers with fabulous voices that work very well together.

Annaleigh Ashford and Lauren Kennedy
Lauren Kennedy and Jenn Collella
Kate Shindle and Leslie Kritzer

IMO, the Hilton sisters can't be black not only because it's historically inaccurate, but because it sort of screws up "You Should Be Loved."
Kelli would make an excellent Violet, but I don't like Lauren Kennedy enough for her to be Daisy.
Kate Shindle and Leslie Kritzer would be interesting, but is there enough diversity in terms of voice type? Both are hardcore elters, and Violet's a little more soprano-ish.

Jimmy, what are you doing here in the middle of the night? It's almost 9 PM!

Not Annaleigh, please. I want to be able to sit through it.

I can just see so many possibilities with Lauren Kennedy...I hope she makes it to casting...

Isn't she too old for the role now? I mean she played Daisy in the original production.

I could see Anika Noni Rose with Maya Days or Merle Dandridge.
Jenny Powers and Celia Keenan Bolger?

Leigh Ann Larkin and Laura Benanti. DUH.
Erin Davie is a complete SNORE.
Kelli O'Hara might compete with Erin for that title, though.

I don't think the roles are age-specific, are they? 20-30s, no? I can still accept Kennedy as in her 30s.

I don't understand the Kennedy love.

I don't understand the Kennedy love.
Neither do I, but I don't get the Kelli O'Hara love either...or the Stephanie J. Block love.

I think Kelli O'Hara is brilliant.
While I think that Block is very talented, she's only proven herself as Liza. Nothing more in my eyes. I've got to see her in something else before I can jump on the bandwagon.
Oh wait. I forgot about THE PIRATE QUEEN.
I got back to my original statement.

No offense to Jill Paice...I loved her in THE WOMAN IN WHITE but she could not sing SIDE SHOW. She's not a belter by any means.
I love the Rose and Daniels suggestion. Would be amazing to see an African American pairing.
But my vote is for Sara Ramierez and Shoshana Bean. They would be AMAZING and completely different then the original gals! Which I think is the way to go.

I'd gladly welcome Norm Lewis back.
