Raul? Yes.
"The Spectacle has, indeed, an emotional attraction of its own, but, of all the parts, it is the least artistic, and connected least with the art of poetry. For the power of Tragedy, we may be sure, is felt even apart from representation and actors. Besides, the production of spectacular effects depends more on the art of the stage machinist than on that of the poet."

I would be kinda surprised if anyone from the original production would return to this show. I l-o-v-e the show and I saw it at least 15 times in it's Broadway run.
Speaking of actual sisters what about Becca and Heather Ayers?

Norm wouldn't return, though I'd love to see him do it.
Jenn Collela would totally work well.
I do like the characters having slightly different vocal sounds.
one huskier and one thinner/brighter...
yes, i'm referring to voice type.
Ayers' sisters could be interesting..could they sing it?
I'm a little unfamiliar with their work.

I have only heard Becca Ayers sing, but if both can pull it off, it'd be really neat to have two sisters in the roles.
Otherwise, I like Jenn Collela...and maybe Jenn Gambatese? (two Jenn's, I know)

I'm not a fan of Gamabtese's work as an actor, but I feel ya with the vocal quality.
So, would Collela sing the bottom?

Collela would sing bottom I think. I like both and would love to see them work together.

That video of Megan Hilty and Shoshana Bean is quite fierce.

I think Kelli would make a good Violet because, aside from the vocals, I've always seen Violet as being pretty cold and standoffish.
Jimmy, what are you doing here in the middle of the night? It's almost 9 PM!

Bumping this. Has anyone heard any casting rumors?

My friend's two daughters (twins) have nabbed a meeting with Bill Condon, courtesy of Stephen at ROUNDABOUT, about casting.
They are both extremely gifted and talented and unknowns. Perhaps this is the route Bill is taking?
All pure speculation but that meeting is real and very exciting! Next time I speak with her mother, I will let you know if Bill said anything.

Would those be the twins that played these roles at the Westchester Broadway Theatre in the summer of '06? If it is, I'm friends with those gals. In fact, I was in the production with them (as Terry).
And, yes, I hate to be the "racist" of the board, but, it would be totally inaccurate for African actors to be cast in this show. These are not fictional characters, these were real humans, who were not African. I'm all for color blind casting, when it makes sense. And this wouldn't make sense. Sorry...

Wait, were they the ones who used to post to the Playbill board? :)

Well if we want to talk about using real sisters, then what about Sutton Foster as Daisy and Hunter Foster as Violet?

Sorry for my out-of-the-loop ignorance, but is this revival even definitely happening?

OMG.
Forgive me having been taken aback by *that* news ... Having played 'The Boss' to their "Daisy and Violet'.
They're both wonderfully-gifted individuals with a zest and vigor that makes them 'achieve' every single time they take-on a role. I'm happy to attest to it always being an extreme pleasure sharing the stage with them.
As soon as you hear *anything* of that meeting, please let me know. I won't be seeing them for a week or so, as is.
Thank you.

The breakdown is for a 29-hour AEA staged reading, not a full-fledged revival.

You have been here since 2004... shouldn't you be sticking to the guidelines regarding posting illegal bootlegs, on YouTube, on this board?
thanks for the link though!
