Remember how people loved the "Bombshell" concert years ago done for charity, it was huge success. They had SMASH fans dreaming of a Broadway show being done and how sad to see it hit the stage and be such a complete mess. Why they thought of rewriting this show as a "farce" is beyond me. Season One of the TV series scripts would have been fine for Broadway with some tweaks and character deletions (Karen BF, Ellis etc). No storyline about Julia's family and make Ivy's mother (Bernadette Peters) more of a central character as the stage mother from hell -lol. Find a way to make the wonderful music from "Bombshell" the centerpiece of the show, not being played in snippets.

They called the show "SMASH" because they must have thought name recognition of the TV show would be beneficial to their box office and then went out of their way to make fans of the TV show shake their head when they heard the story line changes. How sad that this show will not even have 100 performances (not including previews).

Charley Kringas Inc said: "...terrific (and not just because of the gyrating hunks of man meat)!"

If only they had this for a pull-quote, it might've helped -- thanks for the laugh!

Apparently, Sarah Bowden got injured in early June and has been out of the show since, with Jessie Peltier filling in on her track. Ian Liberto has been covering Merritt David's track for the last few weeks as well (injury?). This show has had no luck.

A Chorus Line revival played its final Broadway performance on August 17, 2008. The tour played its final performance on August 21, 2011. A new non-equity tour started in October 2012 played its final performance on March 23, 2013. Another non-equity tour launched on January 20, 2018. The tour ended its US run in Kansas City and then toured throughout Japan August & September 2018.
