Ok, quick review: MY FIRST TIME MISSING STEPHANIE
Maria was in. I thought for sure I'd see Jenna, or Eden even but Maria was on. She was good. I liked her acting and she can definitely sing...but I still prefer Stephanie. I just think she comes across stronger over all.
Maria's blue beanie hat was sort of hanging by a bobby pin during "What is this Feeling?" but she finally managed to put it back on at a certain point in the song where she's behind the crowd. Kendra of course made it into a joke and sort of teased her about it with gestures.
Kendra performed the hell out of Popular - LOVED IT! She isn't the strongest vocally out of the Glinda's I've seen but her acting was spot on and she is super cute and quirky. During the song on the "little ways to flirt and flounce" she grabbed onto Maria's hips and made her shake it and then she lifted her skirt and flashed us during another part. I don't remember her doing any of that the one other time I caught her.
For Maria, I'd say No Good Deed was definitely her best point of the show.
Looked like Derrick got his hair retwisted, it looked a lot neater and tighter than it usually does - and how sad that I noticed that!! LOL
So for those of you who may be there tonight, you have Steph! I KNEW she wasn't going to be in when I didn't spot her in the lotto. But I did meet two fellow boardies there :) Overall, a good day! HOT HOT HOT, but good.
And about the crowd - about 150 today I think, tops! Not as many as I thought there would be considering what I've been reading. The first people in the cancellation line got there at 8:30am and I can only imagine what next Sunday is going to be like!! AAaaahhhh - please people, I hope you don't sleep on Hollywood Blvd overnight, it's not safe!!!! Anyway.... on my way to lunch after winning there were three people waiting by the stage door with what looked like gifts for the cast. I only managed to get a glimpse but it looked like they had some melted cupcakes...ewww. Hope the rest of their stuff did OK.
OH! And I sat beside this girl who went to school with John T. from Avenue Q and she said he was really sweet. She didn't realize he was going to Vegas so she got really excited and said she was going to email him about it.
