I have an extra pair of tickets I am selling for the Wednesday Matinee which I will also be attending. They are in row S of the orchestra, face value. If interested message me.

That's awesome you are selling face value. People have been trying to make tons of money off of them. If I wasn't going already on a different date I'd jump on these ASAP. Someone wanted $199 for balcony for this date and time. Total rip-off I hope no one took him up on it.

I doubt this will happen but in case no one takes you up on your offer, I'm fairly certain you can return those tickets at the box office and get your money back.
I bought 4 tickets for a wed matinee for Hello Dolly but a friend couldn't make it anymore due to a work conference. I went to the box office, explained the situation (tickets were row M center orchestra face value of $189) and the guy at the box office gave me a refund no problem. I think HEllo Dolly made that area premium nowadays as I see the price at $399 for the same seat.
Good luck! I hope someone takes advantage of this opportunity :)

I'm glad you got your money back, but it would've been nice if you sold them on here for face value first instead of returning them back to the box office so they can screw someone over and sell them for $399. We are a community on this board and should help each other out which is why I think what bstoll1 is doing is awesome.

Djoko, someone wanting to be sure they get their money back is something I'd say is very reasonable? They're not fully attached to this board. If I'm out $700, I'm not going to play nice and wait for someone to maybe but them back, when I can get a full refund without worrying.

I agree it's lovely that you are selling coveted tickets for face value...but that doesn't obligate another poster to do the same. As for the theater "ripping someone off", you don't even know that the tickets were sold for any more then they were originally purchased.

I didn't say it didn't happen, but it's not a sure thing. And its nit Wicks problem if they did. Getting his $ back, hassle free, complication free was what he needed to do.

I agree with dramamama. I bought the tickets months ago and I understand broadway pricing dynamics. I never saw them sell the same seat for hte same day for $399, but the actual area (like rows M, N and O online) are priced in that range now versus back several months ago.
I think this is a great community but I don't feel obligated to offer tickets on here first. Had the box office turned me down, I would have offered it on here for face value. All I wanted to do was share my experience to the original poster in case he/she doesn't find a buyer on here (the wait is probably stressful.)

I never said it wasn't reasonable. I just said it would be nice if they sold them on here first. It's their tickets so they can do whatever they want with them, but I like it when we help each other out.

Plus, it's not like we're talking about just any show. This is the hottest ticket on Broadway right now and very hard to get especially for face value.

If I am asking for face or (in the very odd case) below what I paid, I would post it here. But that would be after I tried to profit first, heh.
