Tony Awards Final Predictions: Who Will Win and Should Win on Broadway’s Biggest Night

Here is the only predictions article anyone should read and go by:

https://www.nytimes.com/2026/06/05/theater/tony-awards-2026-predictions.html

Caps in theaters

Caps aren't a "trend." People have been wearing them forever. I've worn a cap many times to the theatre. If it was blocking someone's view and they politely asked me to take it off, I would. If you think wearing a cap in the theatre is in poor taste, then that's on you. Don't bring your mess to my house.

THE LOST BOYS Reviews

Im planning on seeing this on Thursday.

There are $44 tickets on Center balcony and $59 on orch partial view.

Any recomendations? Should I stick to rush?

I went on Sunday and got center mezz last row for $59 and saw everything. It was actually a great seat and had no one in the seats next to me. I recommend paying as little as possible for this show because it's te

Drama League Awards 2026

ELP said: "DaveyG said: "The Drama League and OCC nominations are usually full of nonsense."

I just went on their website and if I read it correctly ANYONE can become a member and a "voter" for $19. What am I missing?
"

You're not missing anything... you're absolutely right except I think it's closer to $100. People on this board don't do their research or know basic facts so they think it's some kind of

SCHMIGADOON! Previews

I found the show very enjoyable. It's definitely a crowd pleaser. I'm still deciding if I liked this more than Two Strangers. I think I'd pick Schmigadoon over Two Strangers because I'm in my big splashy musical era. I found McKenzie Kurtz to be the standout in the show.

OH, MARY! Reviews

If Cole has the flu then what does that mean for the $5 show today? Does that mean they'll be out for Mary's special birthday performance? That would suck.

Jesse Green “assigned to a new role” at the Times

Thank G-d Green is gone from theatre reviews. He was absolutely awful. The only reason people are saying bring back Brantley is because Green was so bad, he made Brantley look like Shakespeare. Brantley is a curmudgeon and should stay on X or whatever platform he's on now. I hope they'll get a younger critic who'll actually know what they're talking about. Green is the main reason the NY Times Critics' pick has no influence anymore. Not to mention, the Times doesn't ha

Shorts in the theater

You can wear anything to the theatre nowadays. Shorts and t-shirts are totally fine. Just don't go shirtless.

2025 Tony Awards Reactions Thread

binau said: "It's crazy to see how much the Tony ratings have declined over the years. This is the way they talked about them in 2003 according to the NYtimes. Now 4.85 million seems good, but that's still a 40% decline from 22 years ago:

"[In 2003] Despite attempts to attract viewers to the Tonys broadcast by using more celebrity presenters, ratings were about the same as last year's record low, according to an early tally by the Nielsen Media Res

The 78th Annual Tony Award Nominations for 2025

Basically, it didn't give us any clarity on the close races other than that it looks like Jonathan Groff will win Lead Actor over Darren Criss.

The 78th Annual Tony Award Nominations for 2025

The NY Times voters poll is out and Paulson polled a huge 25% of the voters.

The 78th Annual Tony Award Nominations for 2025

I would say Variety spoke to 10 to 20 voters at the most. I think if it was a big number like more than 50 then they would've said so.

The 78th Annual Tony Award Nominations for 2025

Here are Variety's predictions, which they said they surveyed Tony voters for. Unlike the Holy Grail NY Times voters poll, they didn't say how many voters they spoke to. But at least it's based on speaking to Tony voters so I'm posting it here. Tomorrow, of course, is the almost 100% accurate NY Times voters poll so take Variety's with a grain of salt. I'll believe the "Purpose" and Jonathan Groff predictions if the NY Times poll says so.

No one is stopping you from doing that. Most people don't have that kind of time.

That's my point. The in-person lotteries were for people who set aside time

Probably the only thing I agree with you on. The goldderby odds are made up out of thin air and I never understood why people even look at them.

Actually, this is very false. Voters for any of the awards do not overlap with the Tonys. You're just making things up now.

Perhaps you'd like to tell people like Helen Shaw and Adam Feldman
