Last I heard was that the originally planned tour was canceled but another one was being planned.

i think it would be a good move, there are so many strong touring productions atm that people are now likely to go see more, instead of heading into the city.

When I met Eric Idle 2 months back he said it was hoped to be on the road by April next year.
It will do very well in the provinces me thinks.

Out of interest Mama, with the year having just changed, does he expect it to start April this year or next year?

Well was due out this April so year on sounds about right.
By the way I was in Barcelona last week and the Spanish production is doing really well and is planning a recast which want originally planned!
I said to Eric Idle that I had no idea the Spanish even knew about Monty Python and he was surprised the show took off so well, the reviews are fantastic, but said that it was huge on Spanish TV in the 60s/70s.
I hope to see it next week or the week after.

Hope it still tours, it's a fun enough show and the sort of thing I could manage to get non-musical friends along to quite easily.
