If you haven't figured it out, they're going for the cirque angle. And I'm pretty sure Edge meant big, huge emotions as in "operatic." Of all the pretensions in U2, Edge is the lesser source.
Dude looks like a Lady.

I too find Reeve weirdly attractive, in that stereotypical emo way. It might be worth it to buy tickets just to see him gad about in tights.
lol, I could not have said it better myself, BDrischBDemented =]]

He's adorkable.
I think it's funny that there are those who are getting SO upset about the ones who are being negative about it. You attack & criticize the naysayers and critics. Hypocritical, much? Who cares what members of the message boards say (myself included)?
Positive or Negative, everyone can speak their minds. The only way to determine its success wont come for months. No one has to be "right" or "wrong" - even if its a financial hit, it won't change how some people feel about the show or idea.
So to BOTH sides, I say... Let it be. Let it be. Let it be.
I have utter faith in Reeve. He is immensely talented and if his co-star, Ms. Wood, can overcome the nodes she currently has, this show may be incredible.
I'm in the camp of finding it utterly disgusting to spend this kind of money on a B'way show. I fear that this will be all spectacle and no substance (even for a Marvel Character). I fear that safety issues will be largely ignored and that much of the audience will feel uncomfortable do to that. I fear that ticket prices will have to be so high, that many regular theater goers will turn away.
Do I KNOW if this will be horrid, adequate or amazing? Not at all. Am I confident that this will even open? Not without an official date to do so. Do I WANT to see it?? Yup. (I just want someone ELSE to pay for it.)
