It depends on the time of the performance. For example, for today's (Sun matinee) show, the online lottery closed at 11am. For evening shows, it closes at 3pm (which is great, as most others close at 2pm). Are you looking for a particular performance?
I was able to get Mezz rush tickets for today (Sun matinee) at about 12:15pm. Fantastic seats - Mezz G104 and G105.
Excellent location for the $50 price and no Balcony overhang. Unless you lean forward, you don't see the ramp at the front of the stage. This was my 6th visit, so I didn't mind.
Perhaps something to think about if you go... I originally purchased one ticket for the show, but my friend decided she wanted to go too. When I asked the ticket agent if there was a seat next to me open, she said no, but the next seat over was! So my friend traded places with the original person in G104 :) That may get you better seats than trying to find 2 seats together.
I won the lottery last week and the tickets were $42 each. I was in the back of the mezzanine, not a great seat but I didn't feel too far away from the action. It was my first time entering so I'm not sure how hard it is to win... but Spongebob is my guilty pleasure so I will probably enter a few more times this summer!
I rushed on 6/9 for the matinee, I got my ticket at roughly 12. I wanted $30 seats, but they were balcony box... after chatting with the lady she punched some things into her computer and I ended up in Mezz K off to the side. It was the end of the row but not the aisle so I had space for my bag and stuff. I enjoyed the show but was disappointing Ethan was not there.

They are absolutely scattered all over the theatre. When I won I got side Orchestra in this little boxed off area with ~6 seats per row, my friend won a few weeks before me and got middle Mezz and other people's reports I've seen have been any and everywhere else.
We arrived at 9am and were 8th in line. By 9:10 there were 21 people in line. By 9:55, 44 people in line. When we left after getting tickets at 10:10 the line still went to McDonald’s.
At 10am they split us into two lines (matinee and evening), I was 3rd in line in the matinee line. They didn’t offer any mezzanine tickets for the matinee so options were either $70 for orchestra or $30 balcony. Orchestra seats were together full view. Balcony were single seats, partial view. We chose orchestra, ended up with Row Q, Seats 121 & 123 (house left side of center orchestra).
Evening line offered mezzanine, balcony and orchestra.
I’m not sure how many people behind us got tickets as we had to take off. Most of the people went to the matinee line. While the people in front of us debated balconey vs. orchestra at the window I watched about 10 people successfully get evening tickets in the next line.
Excited to see the show this afternoon!!

Won the lottery for this past Thursday (6/21). The tickets were for Mezz Row A (which is oddly the second row of the Mezzanine), seats 13 and 15.
Not bad at all! You are looking at the show from a bit of an angle but not obstructed by any means. And way closer than when we actually bought seats a few months ago.
House was also completely packed which was a huge chance when we first saw it (I'd say half the mezz was empty our first time).

With a discount code on Ticketmaster or at the box office, it's $79 during the week, or $89 on weekends. I know this isn't a great bargain compared to other options, including TKTS, but itwas definitely worth it. No heads in the way, no mezzanine overhangcutting off the top of the amazing set, extra leg room...I would choose it again, in a heartbeat. "
I’m considering those seats for when we visit this summer. Would M be better than any of the rows ahead of it? I have a little one with me so no heads/clear view is a factor for sure.
Thinking of rushing Sunday. Any idea what’s a safe time to arrive? Also is it worth getting the mezz seats or the orchestra rush seats, where have they been?
Hoping to Rush SpongeBob next Saturday. According to ticketmaster, the balcony is sold out short of a few stray seats. The mezzanine is probably 40% full. Do I stand a chance at getting the $30 tickets if I get there early and wait it out? Also, how do they divide the crowd up for matinee and evening performances?
I'm also curious about Spongebob tickets for next week. Which is a better deal? TDF, Rush or Lottery tickets for a performance Thurs 7/5? What would you do?
Rushed today, Sunday 7/1. Arrived at 8:30 was 2nd in line. But there weren’t a lot of people online maybe because there’s a heat wave. Got an orchestra ticket for 75$, amazing seat! Row F 112. Perfect view , 5th row, so close to the cast! My friends opted for 50$ mezz and got B108 and C115. Better view if you want to see stage from birds eye view. Totally suggest seeing it!
Won the lottery for Spongebob on Saturday (for the matinee), and was pretty disappointed in the seats. I know this thread has some older posts, but people got some really great seats in the lottery. I was in Row G of the balcony, on the right side on the inner aisle. Couldn't see the ramp at all. There is also a part of the balcony that juts out (probably lighting or something, but I couldn't tell what it was). As a result, if anyone was sitting front and center, we could only see the top of their head. Missed most of Squidward's big dance sequence. I could see his torso, but not his legs (which is the point of the dance).
The show was really fun, and I still had a good time. Not sure if it was because of it being the balcony, or because it was a family show, but the audience acted like they were at a baseball game, coming and going from their seats as they pleased, making the whole row get up. I get it if kids need to get up, but it was mostly adults doing it.
So I liked the show, but my enjoyment was definitely hampered by the horrible seats. I had to sit up ramrod straight just to see the stage at all, and I still missed a lot due to the jutting out obstruction. Things that happened further back (basically anything that occurred behind where the pineapple curtain is at the beginning) was fine. But I don't think the seats were worth $42. I wouldn't even pay the $30 rush price for them.

I’ve won the lottery, along with a few of my friends, and we’ve all gotten Mezz Row D Right seats, usually anywhere in seats 2-8. My friend and I are hoping to enter the lottery later this week, and I reaaaally hope that if we win, we get those mezz seats or even better, orchestra seats. I saw the show from mezz and orchestra and much prefered sitting in the orchestra. Balcony looked way too high up for me.
Also, I emailed BroadwayDirect because I was curious if you’ll get better seats when you purchase tickets sooner. They replied that the time you purchase tickets won’t affect your seats, and the box office decides the seats. I guess me trying to purchase tickets ASAP once I get the email doesn’t matter?

I guess it's random! I got the email while I was on the train, so I think by the time I paid it was maybe 20 minutes into the purchase window. Not super quick but I didn't have much choice. The balcony was pretty high but that part of it didn't really bother me. I'd say it would be nice if they had consistent lottery seats set aside, but since the show is closing in a few weeks I guess it doesn't really matter at this point.
I think the quality of the seats may depend on when you go. To my knowledge Saturday matinees are the most sold for SpongeBob because it’s the ideal time slot for families, meaning they may have been able to sell the good seats for full price. I won the lottery on a Tuesday night and sat in third row center orchestra.
As much as I love the show, I wouldn’t even pay $30 rush for balcony again either - row G balcony for a lottery win sounds like such a bummer.

Yeah, I mean... the seats I sat in are only $49 anyway. If I'm going to sit in the balcony I would have rather spent the 7 bucks and at least picked my seat.
