I rushed this today. I got to the box office around 1:20pm, just after the matinee began, to get tickets for the evening show at 6:30 pm. They offered me ORCH T101 for $75 or MEZZ B1 for $30, so I took the Mezz seat. Really fun show, and the view from that seat was incredible! You really are able to enjoy the scale from the front mezz.
Last Saturday (1/20), I stopped by the box office at 1:30ish to see if they had rush tickets for the evening performance. At that time, people were entering the theater for the matinee and the box office almost sold me a rush seat for that matinee. I was able to get two balcony seats for the evening performance.
So basically what I'm saying is that there were rush seats right before the show started
I won the lottery today. Got ORCH D105, a few seats off the center aisle!
Amazing to see everything up close. There's crowd interaction and smaller jokes that I didn't get from previous visits. Also saw the details of Ethan Slater and Gavin Lee's performances from that view. They're giving everything at every moment. I still can't believe Slater's pulling off such a physical, demanding performance each night. (Stage-doorers: he's on vocal rest but still graciously signed. Be kind!)
Lots of empty seats tonight - please see the show if you can.
Not sure when it changed, but lottery tickets are now $42. I'm assuming Broadway Direct has added a $2 fee to lottery wins? (e.g. Wicked is now $37 and Lion King is $32)
Has anyone tried rushing in person lately? It seems that the show hasnt been selling out that often. So curious how close people have been able to get rush tickets to curtain time.

I got tickets an hour before the show, when I got in line, these 2 people cut in line in front of me, then I realized they were Ja-lin (sp?) and Stephanie Hsu, so I was pleased to let them do it
anyway we don't live in the city so we got $75 rush tickets that were center 8th row, perfect seats, except ethan slater was out that night
Hoping to rush this Saturday. $75 seems a lot for rush but would be willing to pay it rather than sit up in the balcony. I've seen some people say they got front mezz from rush so wondering how it's been recently. The seating map looks wide open!
Hey All, Just an FYI, just GO! We've been twice with regular purchase and rushed and still got orch seats! Further back is great (especially for the finale) but being close you really do appreciate and LUV! what the cast is doing! Ethan is so good and so funny, (right down to the little wave of his hands and fingers as he swims across the stage); Gavin too, is great. These two guys better win the Tonys! Go and sit anywhere! You will have a (beach)ball!
Side question, but I'm going to do TDF for either this Friday night or Sunday night. I'd rather do Sunday night as many more shows are available on Friday night.
Which do you think willhave the best seats on TDF and do any actors traditionally and/or frequently take Sunday nights off?
I rushed two weeks ago on a Sunday and my friend did it yesterday. Someone posted the prices earlier but we were offered the same options: Orchestra:$75, Mezz $50, Balcony $30.
Our balcony seats were fine, no obstructions. I wasn't a big fan of the show and Ethan was off so I was glad I only paid $30.

I won the online lottery about a month ago (sorry a bit out of date). My seat was Orchestra Row H far side. The ticket did not say "partial view" and I don't think I missed anything at all except that it is a bit hard to see some of the orchestra and set located in the boxes on the same side.
Few questions. I am coming in from out of town and want to see the show but not pay hundreds of dollars. What’s the best way to get good seats? Lottery. Rush. TDF. TKTS. Today Tix. For people that have won the lottery is it that hard do you think many people enter. How early do you think I would need to get there to definitely get rush tickets. What’s TDF? And why is rushing making you pay more for good seats when other shows don’t and than lottery people get the same seat for 40-50 dollars less.
For anyone thinking about doing $30 rush seats, I highly recommend trying the lottery first. I hated the balcony - I felt so far and there were tons of people up there who were very disruptive throughout the performance. For only $10 more you’ll get far superior seats via the lottery. It’s not difficult to win either if you don’t mind chancing it!
I got two rush tickets at 12:10pm yesterday (Sunday) for the 1pm matinee. They were the rear mezz (N2 and 4, I wanna say) and I hated how much of the overhang of the balcony I saw but it really wasn't bad for the price. I was grateful to have an aisle too.

TDF is the Theater Development Fund. You can join if you fit certain eligibility requirements, like working for a nonprofit or being a student or educator. https://www.tdf.org/nyc/24/Eligibility-Requirements It normally costs $35 a year to join (they are having a sale now, $29 to join) unless you live >100 miles away in which case it is $20 for the National Membership. After you join, you get access to buy discounted tickets to select shows. Musicals are $47 (there is also $4 fee for each order). It seems like tickets are usually available only a few weeks or days in advance, and only for less popular shows. You never know where your seats are going to be until you pick up your tickets right before the show. I got Spongebob tickets for a Friday night a couple weeks ago, and we ended up in orchestra center row R, which was pretty amazing, especially for only $47! And it's nice having tickets in advance and not having to take the time to rush or chance the lottery. Spongebob hasn't been listed lately, perhaps because of the Tonys, but I am guessing it will be back up soon. There is a whole thread on TDF if you want to take a look: https://forum.broadwayworld.com/readmessage.php?thread=1090657
I rushed this morning, got in line about 9:40 and was about 22nd in line. Ended up getting orchestra seats for the matinee show for $75 in row N, 125/127. View is great! Didn’t end up winning the lottery though
