Yeah I knew that. I just wanted to say that so you don't underestimate all 14 year olds.

I agree with becoz. I'm 15 years old and i'm pretty "in-the-know" about what goes on in the world. I grew up around my sister's college friends!
I would like to take a step back and applaud everyone in this thread. You've all made some FABULOUS points that I COMPLETELY agree with.
There's soo much more I want to point out to Lizzya, but it will just take forever. I just hope that someday she learns that she might actually get some positive replies to her posts if she stopped expressing only her negative opinions. You wonder why people keep starting arguments with you?

Yeah. If I had forever I would go on a serious page long rant.

Yes, I have kids in my school with these problems (pregnancy, being ostracized because people think they are sluts, etc.) but it's not like that kind of thing just "happens" to someone. They bring it on themselves.
Oh honey, what ARE they teaching you? Go through life with that point of view and you'll end up ALONE by the time your 21 (or you'll end up in Congress). People are complicated creatures. No one brings anything on themselves. I'd elaborate now but I am so very distraught hearing that come out of a 14 year old's mouth. You know, there are TONS of kids in your school who are suffering with every kind of issue addressed in SPRING AWAKENING, but do you know why you are not aware of it? It's because they feel too ashamed to say anything to anyone because people like YOU make them feel like they "brought it on themselves." So they keep it inside and the adults that are doing them wrong end up winning in the end. Wake the heck up.
Is religion brought up in the show? I am a strong Christian so I am not as lost as some of the characters in the show are. I don't hang with the wrong crowd where issues like these are present.
Has Christianity taught you to shun people who are not "normal" -- a word you use to describe yourself? Pardon me, but the word NORMAL pisses me off. It's because of the existence of such a word that people are made to feel ashamed of any part of themselves that do not fall into the category of "normal".
It doesn't matter what "crowd" you "hang with". You're in the same world that I am and that everyone on this board is in. Have you seen a musical called HAIRSPRAY? Have you ever heard of people favoring INTEGRATION over SEGREGATION? It goes beyond just race. We're all here, honey, together. Don't think that because you cut yourself off from certain people because of their struggles that it means you're never going to come in contact with them or need them in your lifetime.

Posted: 1/5/07 at 12:17amI am not immature. That was really really rude and hurts me. I never insulted you. Why is everyone making such a big deal about my personal opinions? I never said I didn't like YOU, I said I didn't like Lea. That's it. Just because I think for myself doesn't mean I'm immature. I am more mature than a lot of adults. In what ways have I been immature? I would really like to know.

This thread needs to die because we will all be dancing circles around Lizzy for days and days trying to explain this to her.

Um, yeah, hi ... I've been visiting this thread since somewhere earlier this morning, and O.M.G, put it to bed!
Lizzy, hun, it's super that you're opinionated ... as is ... wel,l everyone. Oftentimes, however, "great minds" don't use an online forum to vent their frustrations with others - Let alone little to-do's and qualms to which you (and you alone, or so it seems) find offensive and upsetting. Dig deep, find it *somewhere* from within your soul, and please, please, please do us all a favor and MOVE ON.
Lea's a doll as far as I'm concerned.
I do, however, feel for you and your strong discontentment with one, Lea Michele and her 'views' etc, etc.
Baby go to sleep now ... Find another outlet, please!

Wow, Lizzy, I seriously dont know what to say...wow
Um, I could say something really mean, but I'll just say Lea Michele is probably a lot hotter than you so please don't accuse her. Thanks

Because coming into a forum which is a forum where people like all things about SPRING AWAKENING and you just bashing one of the actors because she cursed. thats immature. its like watching t.v. and someone curses and you run to your mommy asking her if you can still watch it. and as for your comment about being 14 and knowing more than most adults... hunnie everyone says that at 14.. trust me and believe me ... you really have no idea. i said the same thing at 14 and i said the same thing at 18 and im 21 now and as i get closer to being older, i still dont know half of what my parents know. dont be so blind...
So to start the real topic of the forum... who is going to the signing!?!? because im jealous of you!!

Posted: 1/5/07 at 8:52amI was sure I had put it to rest a few posts ago when I said "Lea could have been more careful with her words, As could I." And it was fine for a while, but people kept on ranting and posting mean things. ITS OVER. I ended it a LONG time ago but people won't stop.

What a ridiculous thing to say. Are you for real?

If your so mature then why do you dislike some one for saying a curse word. That sounds like something a 9 year old would do.
"I am more mature than a lot of adults."
um....
"That was really really rude and hurts me."
You've said before we were just internet people on a message board.

*big snort*
Honey, I'm a supposedly "mature" 14-year-old and even I have to admit that this statement is one of the more ridiculous things I've heard lately - right up there with "Ashley Brown is a shoo-in for the Tony."
