I would go with A of the Mezz....unless its all the way to one side.
If they are both to the side....I'd still go with front row Mezz.
The first time I saw it I was in row Q (I think) in the orch and could see everything perfectly...and I'm short.

Posted: 11/7/08 at 12:10pmI sat in Row A center in the Mezz and in my opinion it is the best seat in the house. Great views of everything. Nothing to be missed. The lighting is really something to see from that seat as compared to the orchestra. Enjoy the show,it is one of my favorites.

Posted: 11/7/08 at 1:00pmFront mezz is THE best seat in the house after front row orch. Row N orch is a great seat, but please go with Row A mezz.

Posted: 11/7/08 at 1:19pmIts all about the Mezz from Spring Awakening. the lighting works so much better from the mezz. There are some lights that are not on stage that you wont even notice if you sit in the orch.

Posted: 11/7/08 at 1:33pmDoes anyone have an opinion on Stage seats verses Mezz? I don't have a lot of cash these days (big repair on my house) but I want to see the show before it closes.

Posted: 11/7/08 at 2:25pmIf you're strapped for cash, for sure go with stage seats. Unless it's your first time. If it's your first time, STAY AWAY FROM THE STAGE SEATS. You lose sooooo much. Yes, sitting on stage is a great experience, but I sat on the stage my fourth and sixth time and even I lost a little bit. Go for mezz unless you absolutely don't have the money.

Posted: 11/7/08 at 3:04pmThanks for the feedback everyone! As it will be my first time seeing the show, I will sqeeze out enough dough for a mezzanine seat. I don't want to miss anything!

Posted: 11/7/08 at 6:21pmAvoid stage seats unless you have seen SA several times. You need to already be familiar with the lyrics, facial expressions, etc. because on stage you miss too much looking at the action from behind or sideways. If you know the show well, it is great to be on the stage for a totally different vantage point.

In addition to seeing the lights better, the choreography also works better from the mezzanine.
Definitely go with the mezz before you take the orchestra seats!
