STOCKARD CHANNING'S BLACK DRESS IN PAL JOEY

Dis Stockard Channing war that dress throughout the second act? Or was it just for the curtain call. In the original Vivienne Segal wore a very elegant black dress and shoes, but nothing like the contraption that Channing is wearing. It's also so out of period. Who designed the costumes? It makes her look atrocious. I can just imagine Segal looking at a dress like that and screaming: I'M GOING TO WEAR THAT? STICK IT UP YOUR ASS!

As one of the lines in MY SISTER EILEEN wwent

"what sadist designed that?"

I saw the dress the other day and I found at once georgeous but a little gaudy (Or something!). It's a different dress! I only saw it in pictures and a lot of times a picture doesn't do it's subject justice. JMO

onceadancer, clearly you must be a far more accomplished costume designer than that untalented newcomer, William Ivey Long. Care to give us YOUR resume?

A. I agree with the OP that this particular gown was ugly, but do not feel that way about the rest of WIL’s work. It was my least favorite of her costumes of the night. Her first gown in the show was stunning and gave her a beautiful silhouette.

B. That argument is absurd Patash, on top of irrelevant. I'm only a beginning cook, but I could tell you if something tasted like ****.

Any bad looks in this group? :

Wait wait wait! Before you answer, better post your diploma from FIT, or shots from your last fashion show at Olympus Fashion Week.

I'm not a costume designer and certainly not as accomplished as William Ivey Long, but I agree that the potato sack in question looks horrendous on her.

It has been brought to my attention the poster currently posting as OnceADancer is not the same sweet Miriam whose posts we all used to enjoy.

Apparently, this new OnceADancer is a sockpuppet.
